Non-Exotic Game-mode on Rotation
*DISCLAIMER*
Hey Guardians, let me first say that this isn't a 'nerf' post. I'm comfortable using all exotics, this is a game and anyone can use what they want to. Just wanted to clarify this before anyone thinks I'm being salty about exotics :)
Moving on I'll keep this short and sweet as I'm sure we all have things to do!
I think it would be sweet if there was a non-exotic playlist that rotates in the Crucible Playlist (like salvage and combined arms). It would give meaning to so many awesome legendaries out there and be something slightly different!

[b]Everyone keeps stating that not allowing exotics is significanlty hindering the scope and diversity of guns that people are allowed/able to use, but what they don't recognize is that its the exact opposite,[/b] allowing all guns significantly narrows the variety of usable guns...When all guns are availabe only the most recognizably strong or potentially overpowered guns will be used(namely exotics in this game) and when those guns are used others are forced to use the same loadout of overpowered weaponry in order to effectively compete... [b]Taking out exotics[/b] (not in all game-modes just this one as I love my exotics just as much as the next)[b] would greatly increase our freedom and comfortability of being able to use other guns and significantly increase the diversity of usable weaponry[/b]...I remember what crucible was like when exotics were just that, exotic and rarely seen...the degree of gunplay and scope of usable guns was vast and seeing peoples preferences and why was intriguing and I'd happily welcome a game mode where true diversity and gunskill were present rather than the same few exotics that everyone uses just to compete...

Wont happen for the game is about exotics, just like they wont ever have a non-super game mode for the game is about supers.

I want to see an all exotic game. Able to equip them in every slot. I actually would just like to see the forum meltdown caused by it.

What about all the raid legendaries? I find that many of them are more powerful than exotics.

8 RepliesTake inferno mode and drop the ability to use exotics, armor or weapons, and restrict supers, completely level the playing field. No panic supers, no revives, no bullshit from thorn or others. Just clean fun.

Might be fun, would like a "no super" playlist though. I am on top of my gun game. I think it'd be fun to restrict supers. P.S. Just remove supers. Keep abilities in. Hunters might dominate because of the stability buff they get on a precision kill. But it'd be fun.

Can we still use exotic armor? Omg the idea of nobody using the thorn or red death is awesome. And the type of guns people use to kill you would be so diverse so that it doesn't even get you mad.

In against this idea. This game is designed around the armor/weapon perks. To remove that aspect even if it is for a single type of weapon is saying, " make this game like games from 10 years ago". I get your aren't an exotic hater but if you really want a game type with some weapons removed, just move on completely. The variety makes this experience unique, if at times very broken. To take that away in a small bit is to say you don't want to play the game as it was designed.

2 RepliesHonestly it would just lead to people finding the best legendary guns and perks that work. It would make ttk slightly longer and people would find the next gun to say is too good or eady to use. I'd play it to see how it is.
