Who's buying The Taken King?
I'm just curious to find out who's thinking of buying the upcoming DLC; I've seen a lot of people on the forums that are either zealously supporting Bungie or slating everything they've done so far, so I want to see the numbers.

Edit: Some FAQ's
—This DLC is [b]not[/b] included with the season pass
— It is [i]expected[/i] to drop around September time
—'Taken King' is the assumed name of what was previously known as 'Comet'; the supposed title of the upcoming Destiny DLC. Whether or not the official title is 'Taken King' I don't know for sure, but if it makes you feel better, please imagine the title of the poll to be 'Who's buying the next DLC?'

I was still playing just to get my ghorn but now I don't even want that anymore so I've stopped playing but I will pick it up when taken king drops

Edited by Hellekeen: 6/8/2015 11:20:45 AMas long as bungie doesnt even start to adress its biggest flaws.. like missing story, cutscenes, open world, weapon variety, optional matchmaking for EVERYTHING and implementing a reason to put behind the game.. im out.. HoW was just too shallow and too thin.. with the only cutscene being the super old mercury aproach? im out. also "the division" is coming.. hopefully the second title that is not emabrassing ly bad.. or dissapointing.. (first was Last of us remastered.. boy what a GOOD game..)

I'm 8 Etheric Light away from having all the weapons I want ascended, ascended! I'm ready for it now lol. I'm cutting down to 3 Skolas and 3 Nightfalls a week! Can finally crack on with either ESO or The Witcher 3 but YES I'll be buying Taken King when it comes out

3 RepliesIt's interesting how we all speak of things we enjoy in a somewhat negative tone. We all talk shit on Destiny, and yet most of us still said SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY. At the end of the day, I'm a gamer and Destiny is a good game. False promises? Sure, but a great piece of art nonetheless.

HoW won't hold my interest until September. Lack of a new raid means there isn't much to do for a clan but rinse old material - we like to play as a big group so ToO and PoE don't cut it. By September battlefront and maybe fallout 4 will be out so I'll have moved on to better things.

I voted no. Unless this DLC gets close to perfect reviews and is reasonably priced, I won't get it. I'm finally starting to move on from this game.

My Playstation Plus runs out about then and I ive only used it for Destiny. The DLC would have to be pretty -blam!-ing spectacular for me to shell out for it and another year of plus.

If the leaked information is correct, we're looking at 12 new story missions and an entirely new Patrol area, as well as 4 more Strikes, 2 new Raids (if I remember right), and I think a ton of new Crucible maps as well. I can't pass that up. House of Wolves was definitely an improvement over The Dark Below, so I'm hoping The Taken King will be even better.

Definitely will depend on the amount of content and the price. I'm not falling for this again.. If it's going to be $30-$40 (probably in this range since it'll be bigger than past expansions), I will damn well expect high quality (VERY big deal considering base game and TDB) content that's at least 1/2 to 2/3 the size of base game

7 RepliesYes and idk why. Dark below wasn't that great, house of wolves was honestly a lot better but now I feel like there still could've been more. If the taken king is what comet was supposed to be then I'll preorder it. To be honest anything that adds more content to destiny is welcome and I have some money to spare.

It depends on the price and content. I am on the fence about it since i feel Bungie has burned me enough with Destiny, but I am hopeful that they will learn from mistakes. Only time will tell. Definitely wont be buying it upon release, rather I will wait a while until I see the reviews and what my mates say about it.
