Who's buying The Taken King?
I'm just curious to find out who's thinking of buying the upcoming DLC; I've seen a lot of people on the forums that are either zealously supporting Bungie or slating everything they've done so far, so I want to see the numbers.

Edit: Some FAQ's
—This DLC is [b]not[/b] included with the season pass
— It is [i]expected[/i] to drop around September time
—'Taken King' is the assumed name of what was previously known as 'Comet'; the supposed title of the upcoming Destiny DLC. Whether or not the official title is 'Taken King' I don't know for sure, but if it makes you feel better, please imagine the title of the poll to be 'Who's buying the next DLC?'

One thing for sure, i am not preordering anything related to Destiny now. I will wait for reviews and any feedback. If the price is around 50$ i pass.

1 ReplyI'm not buying anything from Bungie again until I've seen streams and received official confirmation of the content. Destiny and it's "Expansion Pass" broke the DLC Camel's Back for me. Never again.

I'm not sure yet. I'm on the fence. May get it to have it...but I may not play as much. We will see. Right now I'm not happy with the Pve experience and PoE endgame and rewards.

Only game I've put more time into than Destiny is Skyrim, if there's more stuff for me to possibly do in this game, I'm doing it

1 ReplyIt depends on the price and the actual quality of the content. While I enjoyed some things about HOW, I still feel like Bungie has no clue what they are doing with this game and despite having $40 worth of DLC on top of a $60 game, Destiny still doesn't feel like a complete release title yet. No way am I giving them another $40-60 for content that can be easily blown through in a matter of days. If the 12 new story missions are the same as the garbage we got in TDB and HOW than I'll probably pass. I'm still waiting on them to put lore/story in the actual game. The grimmoire lore is amazing...but it should be in the damn game. With HOW it was pretty clear they wanted to prioritize PVP, which now has the best rewards in the game whether you're doing Trials or normal Crucible which drops legendary gear like crazy now. The PVE "content" they added is already boring and there is really no point to keep on running POE after you've done it a few times since the gear/loot isn't worth the time invested. I'm honestly shocked they had to push HOW back from the rumored March release date just to give us this rather lackluster DLC that catered mainly to PVP, which is a tiny portion of Destiny's player base.

It's kind of twisted, but after all the time I've put into destiny, I'll keep getting the games/dlc and putting more time in so my time doesn't feel wasted

I thought Taken King was going to be a Red bull special extra few story missions to add on to HoW half way between comet to make the time from DLC to DLC not seem as long.
