I personally play as a warlock as my main but I cry just a little every time I see a hunter in my fireteam for raids or Prison of Elders. The main Issue I see with them is that they are inherently selfish subclasses. They can't create as many orbs, Bladedancers especially, as any other subclass and while they can domminate the crucible, invisibility is the only usefulness the can provide in endgame activities.
To make bladedancers wanted outside of diffusing mines they should create the proper amount of orbs per kill (They make about half as many orbs per kill as every other super) and make them immune to non-guardian melee damage while in bladedancer form so that they don't have to worry about dying easily to melee oriented enemies such as Bladedancer captains and vandals (the ones with swords and occasionally go invisible), Minotaurs, melee Knights, and the Cabal in General.
Gunslingers should be able to do precision damage with the golden gun to better take down Majors without emptying an entire super on 1. An exotic specifically designed for killing trash mobs would be nice. Make a terrestrial day bird (Opposite of celestial nighthawk) that has decreased damage per shot but many more shots.
Please excuse any mispellings, it's reset day which means this is just a really long Monday for me.
EDIT: After testing some testing with my gunslinger, I found that the golden gun does have a crit multiplier so my only real hunter related issue is the lack of usefulness of the bladedancer super in pve. I realize that Invisibility is great in the right circumstances but the super itself puts the player in way to much danger and doesn't spawn enough orbs.
EDIT 2: My issue is with the BLADEDANCER super. I realize nighthawk is a thing but because most hunters run bladedancer, I never get to see it. I'm not saying that hunters are bad/useless but the the bladedancer super is weak in terms of killing enemies in endgame content and spawning orbs. I realize that invisibility is a thing, but its not needed if everybody always has their super.

Edited by GazYah: 6/15/2015 11:22:07 PMArcbun omnigul nightfall with mask of the third man and encore can basically one man the first room in one super when the thrall spawn. Crest of alpha lupi can gen 5 orbs per major kill. Hunters are basically always the ones doing the revives unless there's a defender Titan . I use gunslinger most of the time though for those tasty orbs. If you do it right your fireteam will basically have a supercharge constantly going

2 RepliesYou can blade dance forever with the encore perk on
-
1 Replyim better than most of my peeps on my team so im good

1 ReplyThis post is the reason us hunters will never teach warlocks how to get invis or dance.
-
There's no reason to use Bladedancer outside of Crucible other than to use invis They need some new exotics or abilities, add some variety The entire subclass is Go fast, melee things with blue knife, and invisibility (which is the only ability with any practical use)

1 ReplyBladedancers just need to make more orbs

1 ReplyEdited by Spamz: 6/15/2015 7:52:24 AMHunters are great in PvE! In my opinion, they not only deal the most damage, but can also be the most helpful in critical moments. -Gunslinger super is an orb machine! Majors generate four orbs a pop. Pop that super when their health bars get low, generate orbs for everybody -Nighthawk and symbiote helmets are very easily the most useful -Bladedancer subclass' stealth capabilities can clutch PoE and raids -Arc blade super is a medic's godsend, especially with the stealth perk -Gunslinger's trance perk is utility incarnate

4 RepliesIf the hunter wastes 3-4 GG shots on a major, the hunter is an idiot. I always find the majors at half health or if none are that low, I make them that low before I activate GG. Easy 8 orbs.

6 RepliesMeanwhile comparing stats my hunter outlives your warlock....
-
2 RepliesI main a hunter. I agree with the issue with orbs. It'd be nice to be able to spawn more than we do. I actually use razors edge a lot and never find myself in too much danger.
-
I agree and I feel like I'm the only one that see's your point

Every class has its pros and cons. Its how you use them to your advantage.
-
2 RepliesWarlocks are best. They can self res. The over shield is op. Or you can throw a huge purple ball and cause mass destruction.
-
9 RepliesBlade dancer is one of the most effective classes in Poe, coming from a main titan. Their invisibility on crouch, melee and super are invaluable. Learn what importance is.
-
I can make 8 orbs with a bladedancer pretty easily but I have been using a hunter for a while lol put the crest on you spawb more orbs for your team its easy :)
-
I can revive anyone, anywhere I can bladedance enemies who rush my buddies, saving us I can dismantle mines like nobody's business Arc Bolt grenades immediately stop the enemies from firing for a short time I have 3 different ways to turn invisible, think about Crota swordbearers Hunters are pretty damn useful. We just don't make orbs. That kind of sucks
-
I main hunter and yes I find the orb generation a bit weird , but think about it like this hunter sub classes are oriented on aggressive gameplay and survivability so they are more inclined to kill enemys and run to tell the tale (if you melee in pve as bladedancer your doing it wrong). So now you have a character that can eat through enemy's and survive combine it with intense orb generation and now you have the best of both worlds, if you thought hunters were op then now they will be literally a menace. If you do want to produce a lot of orbs then I suggest crest of alpha lupi kill 2 majors to get 9 orbs everytime

Edited by karso: 6/15/2015 4:07:39 AMYou obviously haven't gotten the celestial nighthawk yet. Hits for 3x more damage then nova bomb and fist of havoc and has splash damage if you use combustion. Just read your edit but my opinion still stands
-
I agree. We suck if we don't try our asses off ;_;
-
Hunters are the class to be in crota(sword runner) and poe (mines)
-
Hunters are so perfect for PoE. Mines and revives are no problem 👍 I love all the classes though and thing they're equally as useful.

2 RepliesI agree. I just did Crota hard, and I used blade dancer to clear out sword guys in main room and while I kill one sword guy, I only produce 2 orbs, but a warlock du singer stuck another sword guy and produced 4 orbs. It's stupid how much they nerfed the orbs produced

2 RepliesI main a hunter. Im alive much more of the time than my friends who play warlock and titan. Also i almost never see hunters run blade dancer in pve. If they're running that, they are doing it wrong. Golden gun is very usefull especially with nighthawk. I only switch to blade dancer if i need the invis for revive. Thats my opinon tho.
-
4 RepliesLol when I keep the game going cause I turn invisible and revive and can actually get behind cover fast( unlike Titans) I say hunters are super useful

https://youtu.be/jipFAIl-RGo I feel like that was useful lol
