PvP players can buy etheric light and PvE players can't?
Just noticed that you can buy etheric light from the Iron Banner vendor once you've hit rank 3.
What about us PvE only players? We can't buy it? This is shit.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize that the game was randomly distributed only containing either the PvP half or the PvE half, you see mine has both, and I can move my movement stick and select crucible during the Iron Banner. Sorry that you aren't capable of accessing this content.

Iron banner is easy. Just finish the bounties and you'll hit the rank no problem. I've hit rank 5 every IB I've participated in and my K/D ratio is beyond bad in fact it's abysmal.

Bungie likes to control your behaviors. They were very clear about this within the first month of this game during the first nerfs. Bungie is not interested in actually fixing what they consider a good loot system. That was made evident during the same first nerfs and no fixes until some visible efforts in Crota's End. Destiny started out with a more free flowing world of options. They have added Raids and some structured game modes as an alternative. A ceiling on rewards to micromanage potential progression. And to be perfectly clear they never claimed this was going to be an MMO or anything social. They did state something about ground breaking and epic but that just turned out to be marketing.

7 RepliesAlso, IB is really accessible for PvE focused players. I urge everyone to try it, I started with 0.3 K/D my first month and now regularly do better than 1.0 K/D in the Crucible. It takes time and practice but it ends up being a lot of fun.

1 ReplyI have always played a bit of Pvp. I'm excited for all these changes. I have been to the lighthouse on all three classes and I am no crucible pro to say the least. Try it out buck up and accept a super will wreck you when you think your about to flank them. It's destiny you will get your chance to do the same. Learn from it and master a different realm of the game.

Why limit yourself? Be a guardian, not a PvE or PvP player. Try out crucible every once in a while. Even when I get killed or lose I'm having fun. You can ask anyone who goes into crucible with me...I laugh my ass off at how I'm killed sometimes. If they get a good kill I'm the first to say so :)

Who the hell even plays Destiny for its PvE content when there is absolutely no god damn story involved ? they half-assed the whole story and made dinkbot open all the doors for you. PvP is much better and everyone is capable of doing it. the only PvE content is raiding ; and that should be completed within 1-4 hours depending on what raid and how good your group is. So sorry kid, there is no such thing as a PvE player , let alone a PvP player. Get good.

Also getting to rank 5 takes days where you can complete 34 & 35 PoE on all your characters in one day. Even if you get to 5 you can only buy a total of 2. Also why do you have to be one or the other? You can play both and get lights from both. You my friend are a moron.

3 RepliesIron Banner is not difficult. You could literally just spawn into games and not get a single kill but still reach rank 3. You really only need to win 1 out of 6 games and if you consistently play, you will get better at pvp.
