PvP players can buy etheric light and PvE players can't?
Just noticed that you can buy etheric light from the Iron Banner vendor once you've hit rank 3.
What about us PvE only players? We can't buy it? This is shit.

Bungie isn't giving pvp players any more or any less of anything. The truth is, they give you oh so many chances for etheric light, then again for each character. You choosing not to do some of the options for getting it that week is your fault. It's dumb to be a pvp only or pve only player.

And how DO You get to rank 3? ;) I'm gonna try to reach there even if it's more time consuming than PoE.

1 ReplyLets get the facts straight: PoE, ToO and the raids are available every week, while IB only happens about once a month, so you can earn rewards through PoE, ToO and the raids 4 to 5 times more frequently than can be done through IB. Prison of Elders and ToO both give out maxed out 42 light level armor and maxed out 365 damage weapons which cost little or nothing in terms of glimmer. You also don't need to pay any glimmer for the etheric light you can earn in PoE. IB armor and weapons are not maxed out and cost etheric light to ascend them to max light level and max damage. You also have to pay glimmer to buy IB gear. The 2 Etheric light you can earn through IB costs 5000 glimmer apiece. All the facts point to IB rewards still needing a huge buff compared to PoE and ToO rewards.

no one is forcing you to play PVE only, even if you do PVE has multiple chances of free drops instead of 5000 glimmer for one light. people cry over everything, even when it's asinine.

4 RepliesI reject the entire notion that people have to play all PvP or all PvE. Play both. I do. I'm not standout great at any of it, but I have fun. That's kinda the point. Besides, in my casual opinion PvP is easier than PvE. Grinding Iron Banner rep is nothing, just join a playlist and try not to suck. Meet people. Make friends. Shoot them in the facemeat. Profit. Easy Peasy.

What about PvP only players? They only get it from Trials and Iron Banner. There are actually PvP only players. So before you complain, look at it from someone else's perspective.

It makes you have to get good at pvp and it starts to be a lot more fun when you find other friends to play with. Iron banner is your opportunity to get etheric light. If you want it, play it. If not, you miss out on the opportunity. Too bad. Good luck

I'm shite at PvP, the closest I'll get to mercury in trails is by licking a old thermometer but I don't mind IB and even I can get to rank 5 as I did last time. Stick with it
