Completely Impossible Lv 35 PoE. BUNGIE MUST ANSWER FOR THIS!!!
I and my fireteam of two others have just spent an entire day preparing for Lv 35 Prison of Elders. We began the mission in the afternoon, all lv 34, all with powerful gear, mostly ascended. I am a Sunsinger Warlock, my friends Bladedancer Hunter and Defender Titan. WE SPENT OVER FIVE HOURS IN THE PRISON OF ELDERS AND WE COULD. NOT. COMPLETE IT. Skolas is IMPOSSIBLE to kill, literally impossible. We get swarmed BY F***ING ARC BURN LV35 SHANKS. WE GET MURDERED OVER AND OVER AGAIN BY VANDALS AND CAPTAINS. WE SPEND AGES LOOKING FOR THE FREAKING SERVITOR THAT WE NEED TO KILL TO EVEN HURT SKOLAS!!!!!! AND WHEN WE FINALLY FIND IT SKOLAS RUNS AWAY LIKE A BIG BABY!!!!!!!! We cannot reduce him even to half-health! And once we had had enough? After giving us SIX ROUNDS TO SLOG THROUGH??! We get NOTHING!!! NOTHING AT ALL FOR HOURS AND HOURS OF EFFORT!!!!! This game is B******T and if Bungie do NOTHING to fix this or compensate these three once Destiny-lovers, I'm done. I can't play this anymore.

My Teammates were: BG Digital MLP as the Titan and: luna nightmar3 as the Hunter.

Yep, people are finding out the hard way that this isn't Crotas weak ass! In all realness, if it takes that long, your team should back away for at least a day and go at it again. You have a week to beat him.

Didnt think he was to hard just required hard work and a bit of communication EDIT: This is supposed to be the hardest challenge us PoEers get its obviously going ot be hard enjoy the challenge and dont get upset if you are unable to do it

It's simple: high impact snipers or don't even try. All the higher impact ones have been retired, pretty much the only snipers are the queens, efrideets spear or another I'm missing. All vendor ones are low impact and unable to stagger Skolas. I'd it crap? Yeah but you learn the mechanics of the fight because it's not a quick kill. Took me 3 and a half hours with a couple LFG guys. Had one low impact sniper, eventually just sent him to dismantle mines after they started and we killed him. DPS is the key..

Arc burn was the hardest burn of the 3, but I beat it every week so far .. Completely beatable

"Bungie didnt even reward us for slogging through six rounds" it is not impossible. Find the servitor, shoot the boss, repeat. If bungie made something easier you would probably whine about how they should have made a challenge. Skolas isnt even that much of a challenge

Figure out a better strategy, plenty of ppl have beaten it even if they aren't the best gamer. This isn't bungie's fault. Me and my fireteam aren't the best but we were finally able to kill skolas after spending a total of 5.5 hours on the 35 PoE. It just takes practice and a proper well thought out strategy

3 RepliesOh yee of little brain power. It's a video game and should be fun as well as challenging not hard and over complicated. Everyone doesn't share the same skill set when it comes to gaming. Running to the corner of the arena and shooting the boss continuously after killing one servitor is not an end game strategy. It's just Bungie developers being lazy and not coding a requirement that all three or at least two servitors must die, each representing a third of an opportunity to reduce Skolas health by a specific percentage there by allowing your team to kill him. If your team cannot reduce his health low enough by killing the three servitors and then shooting him while the bonds are broken. Then you should have to start over. DON"T BLAME THE AVERAGE GAMER FOR POOR END GAME DESIGN. and yes I looked into using the corner strategy, because it's available to me thanks to Bungie.
