It's time Bungie, or at least time to start considering setting up some type of competitive skill based playlist with a badge of some sort to rank our guardians, or one day maybe even some kind of competitive MLG (style) league for Destiny.
ToO has brought out a refreshing and analytically competitive spirit to the game and I feel like it's only the beginning with the potential of this underrated PVP shooter.
Reply with suggestions on how we think they should go about it, for instance game types and maps or maybe even accessible account recovery for future LANS.
Great job with ToO Bungie, it's what many of us have been patiently waiting for and deserve.

Last week I've only managed to get 5 wins in trials, but I had a blast playing it and will be looking forward to play it each weekend.
-
First things first, nerf thorn and tlw
-
1 ReplyLol you consider trials a success? Ha haha hahahaha

1 ReplyReported
because your name is -blam!-ing stupid.

I know mine is too.
2 RepliesEdited by Bicepus Maximus: 5/28/2015 6:57:18 PMMany people had success due to poor matchmaking and it NOT being compeitive. What you all do not understand is if matchmaking was more precise very few if none of you would get lighthouse. Flawless against equal skilled teams is near impossible. Doesn't mean you are bad. Just the odds of two very god teams that are equally matched winning 9 games with no losses against each other is near impossible. The fact ToO is not compeitive and consistently matches very good teams vs bad ones is THE ONLY REASON most if not all of the players who went flawless pulled it off. This is why people who talk smack about ToO are complete idiots. Literally. It is entirely possible they are garbage but got lucky 18 times.... I know people don't want to believe this but.... If ToO meant something I would say keep Mercury at flawless but because it doesn't changing Lighthouse to 9 wins with losses makes logical sense and is fair.

1 ReplyEdited by Leftovers: 5/29/2015 10:07:44 PMToO is the closest thing to competitive destiny will get. Even ToO isn't too competitive with all the cheap op weapon users (final round snipers, thorn) and the poor matchmaking.

5 RepliesMLG Space Wars? Nah, Halo can keep the MLG, Destiny doesn't deserve it
-
1 ReplyDestiny PvP is a joke. It will never be more competitive than ToO. The guns, supers, classes, maps, ammo spawns, and radar are so grossly unbalanced that Webkinz has a better chance of becoming an ESO level event.
-
1 ReplyI like trials because unlike everything else in the game it isnt centered around having the gjallarhorn
-
1 ReplyAn actual ToO tournament would be interesting. The problem with competitive events is it brings out the worst in people. Just take a look at forums since HoW dropped......
-
I think it's a great events and brings out the competitive side of the game and myself. I would like private team matches brings a new element to the game and makes it the first mmofps in eSports if that happens
-
4 RepliesYea it is great and underrated. It is not balanced completely but it is fun. If you are good at PVP you will get the guns and do well. If you suck you will just blame Thorn and any other gun you don't like because you lack skill. Hopefully they continue to expand on it and also add more objective based modes for people who are less skilled at shooters.
-
It won't work with a shoot to loot style game. There would have to be: Set weapons Set maps More team based game modes (CTF, elimination, etc..) No level advantaging Lan matches And some other things
-
Yep ToO is really fun
-
19 RepliesLol this game is incredibly casual. Trials shows that. Thorn, final round etc. It's a joke. I haven't seen any skill. These people would get smashed at Halo 3.
-
1 ReplyToO was a major flop in my eyes. I never got a chance to play. Only those people luck enough to work a 9 to 5 or attend school have a chance to play. It only being up Friday to reset is stupid. It should run all week and maybe be every other week but for the entire week.
-
Ya they should make like a league play in cod
-
Whys it clear it was a success? You have stats from Bungie?!?
-
31 RepliesXD Destiny mlg? -blam!- no. ToO was gay btw.
-
Awesomeness
-
Ha ha ha ha,lolololo..lmfao,rofl
-
2 RepliesI agree. Bungie should remove all the PVE content and make it into a completely separate game so they can focus on what they are actually trying to do...make Destiny into COD or Halo. Screw PVE losers.
-
I would like to see my stats in PVP
-
That would be cool. But I hope that wouldn't affect pve. Imagine bungie going full pvp and they stop making missions or raids.
-
I CANNOT WAIT TO RUN ToO again!
-
Yea that was halo 3, you think you have a problem with cheaters, wait till it gets started and won't be able to win 2 matches
