One shot grenades that magnetize towards the enemy making it possible for even the worst of players to get an easy kill.
Edit: To clarify, here is my response to someones comment:
I'm not talking about efficiency. Using trip nades take more skill and are easier to avoid if you're good. Stickys are impossible to prevent from killing you after they have been thrown. And I'd be fine with that but the magnetism is too much.
Edit 2: Barely any people have replied with an argument other than "people complain about other shit all the time so you are wrong".
-
Let's just make magnetic bullets, then it will be fair and easy for everyone. And then after that we can make everything instakill so that there are no op moves or guns. Is everyone happy then?

4 RepliesHere's my montage that shows how good/cheap sticky grenades are. But, then again a lot of things in pvp is cheap. But, sticky grenades are not the cheapest imo.

I don't play Destiny PvP so my opinion is invalid, but props to OP for including the "I don't give a shit" option.

1 ReplyPvp needs a whole new makeover. Way too many ohkos'.

They are an almost guaranteed kil if you use them correctly. But they are not broken. They have a charge rate. (thats why radiance is useful) You need to aim at the oponent, you cant throw and let Jesus take the wheel. Once stuck, they detonate after 2-3 seconds. More time than enough to a) Kill the grenade tosser, b) Be killed by something else, or c) Accept your fate and run towards the enemy hoping that the explosion will kill both.

My thought is always that you have to balance it within context of everything else, rather than looking at it in isolation. Sticky grenades are incredibly weak if you miss your target. Without some level of aim assistance, nobody would use them. You sacrifice the opportunity for multi-kills in most situations. You have to be fairly close to your target in order to have them not dodge the grenade. The best sticky grenades, sunsinger's, are on a class that is built to favor their grenade ability and has weaknesses elsewhere. I run arcbolt on my bladedancer. I can chain wonderful multi-kills by launching it into clusters of people, even if they're somewhat spread out. It's easy to hit people around corners. The sacrifice is that the grenade damage itself is lower than other grenades, so you have to use it with another damage source. I would keep that over the best sticky grenade in a heartbeat.

3 RepliesThis guy says that trip mines take more skill.. LMFAOO!! Right.

So is thorn

Too unreliable for me to use. They slide under the armpit and shoot off into the distance too often.

3 RepliesDude, the f***ing magnetism screws you up more often then it helps... Try hitting a moving target with them. It's not fun. They have to be running right at you or standing still in order for you to hit shit. And if you miss, that's it. It's a pathetic grenade unless you hit something. But you don't care. You got killed by it a few times in crucible, had a tantrum and complain to everyone else on the forums. Because no other nade compares to the sticky. I mean, the one shot kill you can leave laying on the ground is fine because you use it. Or the amazing following grenade that chases you down. Or the multiply kinds that you can stick on the wall for easy zone control. Or the blinding, burning, suppressing ones. Or the bolts that bolts that track people. But I'm wasting my time. You're not going to change anything, rethink anything, or do anything different in crucible aside from running head first into sticky grenades
-
Sticky grenades have a limitation: 1 grenade = 1 kill (usually). Its not unusual to get double (or higher) kills from some other grenade types ... Also, other grenades are more efficient at removing multiple opponent's shields at once.
-
I am like Picasso and monet... I am an artist with my sticky grenades. Took some time to master but I will hit you with one from an unbelievable amount of distance. Sticky on yo face

Pop a bubble with armor of light if your a titan that's the only way I can think of not dying
-
Magnetic and axion bolt are bs, A tip on bolt though, if you sit down it messes with the tracking

The only times I've done Crucible were the past 2 iron banners, up to rank 5 on one character. I have to tend to agree but its not all sticky, the issue is the Warlock's sunsinger Fusion grenades have RIDICULOUS magnetism and attach to anyone even with what would have been a missed throw for another grenade type. As much as I hate them I still think it balances, because playing sunsinger sucks in Crucible, I ran both Iron Banners as void warlock and it was a blast. Minus all the fa7galist Felwinter's Lie pansy bladedancers at least.

2 Repliesthis is exactly why pvp is a dam disease in destiny. pvp players will cry all dam day long. bungie needs to shut the door on pvp players, shutdown MM ( match making ) for pvp and no new maps. PVE is the heart and soul of destiny and it is being ignored. pve need to get 100% of bungies attention and let pve become great like it should be.

There's plenty of one hit kills in this game, would your solution be to make everything weaker? What about snipers? Shotguns? Supers? These all kill in one hit, and make the game fun. There needs to be some powerful things.

You see, if this was 2010, you would be trolled so hard you wouldn't even see the post count before your browser crashed.

3 RepliesI got two for 99¢ just the other day.

4 RepliesI can't use sticky nades in PvP. I always miss. So I use other nades. Also I can't play sunsinger in PvP, it feels terrible.
-
I'll use them all day. One more weapon to kill you with. If you walk into it or can't get away from it that is a you problem. Same with the throwing knives. Set them to burn and chuck them all day.

Cheap you say?! Where can I purchase some!
