Honestly I would say no. I love raids, but destiny in general is not a hard game. What do you think?

2 RepliesYes for VOG no for Crota
-
U need communication nothing more
-
1 ReplyCommunication is all it takes.
-
Not skills. More like good communication and tactical planning.
-
Legit or the common cheese?
-
Yes and no. Depends if ur with a team that actually know how to shoot stuff. U will find the runs are easier overall as everyone is contributing.
-
11 RepliesSkill? Eh. Not really I've been with groups with lvl28s that have taken down Crota in a single run and groups with lvl30s that all die attempting to down him a second time Experience/Knowledge of what you have to do? Definitely
-
Back in the day when you did vog at level 30.
-
Yes. VoG more so than Crota, but in both raids all it takes is 1 incompetent player to force you to wipe 50 times.
-
More teamwork than skill.
-
Naa, pve requires skill, BUUttt what makes it diffrent from pvp is that you can't learn hand eye coordination. Basically, anything in pve can be learned and while the same could be said for pvp, in pvp there are many more factors that go into it.
-
2 RepliesThe only skill I've noted that people tend to lack is being comfortable being told what to do.
-
It requires some skill but mostly you cant be a retard and go rambo into the middle of crap
-
Kind of. It mostly depends on having good gear and a few skilled players as well as someone who can run relic/sword.
-
No. Just shoot stuff, dont die, rinse and repeat. Vog is so easy on hard and normal I dont have dlc so I am fluent in vog.
-
Depends, VoG, yes, Crota, somewhat

Edited by timey: 5/9/2015 8:50:10 PMIt requires people to have a few extremely rare perks 1 listening perk. Very rare and often conflicts with the "know it all" and "never shutting up" perks. 2 learning perk. Learn to work with your team mates, not expect them to work your way every time and scream when they don't do what you want them to do. 3 being the minimum level... Seems obvious but unless the squad says "yeah we will take your level 25 in to VoG" or "sure, we can take just one level 29 in to crota, no problem!" Please don't. Just don't. Edit bonus skill: learning two people can't be in the same place at the same time/not standing in front of each other or better known as "looking at the radar for were everyone is once in a while" skill. Seriously, when I'm about to shoot a rocket i stand still, announce it, them fire. No excuses other than being a jerk for getting in front of me. Also please give me space, i can't shoot well when someone is running in to me constantly. Not crippling but damn its annoying!

Destiny pve is content that allows shitty noobs to pretend that they are good at video games. It is extremely rare for pve in any instance to require any sort of skill from players. It is even more rare for a FPS game to require skill. I mean, all you do is shoot the same thing over and over and over in destiny, and then you have abilities that can make that job even easier from time to time. This is why the real skill in gaming always lies within pvp. Playing against other real players that actually have brains is a real challenge, not sitting on a ledge and bombarding a boss that stands still with rockets and proceeding to whack him with a sword.
-
Yes if you do it legit...hehehehemmmmmmmmm crota bridge....
-
Some skill. Mainly just a good knowledge of where to stand, when to shoot ect... First time using sword today. Seen it so many times from friends I already knew the timings...
-
Not skill, just knowledge of what is going on
-
Yes and no. It requires 1-2 people with skill and then bodies to fill "unskilled labor" positions. It's like the real world
-
VoG yes Crota no
-
VoG requires skill, teamwork, and an understanding of how the raid works. Crotas end requires no skill, just an understanding of how to cheese. Basically it's just a glorified strike mission.
-
2 RepliesNah. Just need to be aware of the mechanics and be observant and sometimes communicative.
-
you would be amazed at the amount of people that can't handle aiming, moving and remembering their surroundings so they can jump and move around without looking where they are going. so raids do require some skill but it's mostly spatial awareness, memorization and timing which few people are good doing all 3 at once. destiny isn't hard at any single area as far as game difficulty goes, but raids require you to be doing 2 things at once minimum at all times with some roles needing 3-4 things needing to be done or at least needing attention. and the ability to work as a team and reading the movements of teammates so you know what they are doing without much verbal communication is also an acquired skill from experience. destiny might not be that hard of a game, but to be a great player in this game does require some skills and the better those skills a player has, the better they will do in raids overall.
