Crucible is filled with people abusing OP weapons
No one seems to have a sense of sportsmanship in online pvp gaming. You go to any online multiplayer you always get people who aren't playing the game for fun they're playing it to win at all costs and this happens in destiny too. The Thorn, The Last Word and half of the iron banner weapons are clearly overpowered and so many people take advantage! Yes there's a certain amount of skill involved in using any gun, but if the people who do this got a nerf would they continue to use them? I have a "light beware" that was my second ever legendary, I haven't kept if because its incredibly good (if anything its got a crap roll for my gameplay) I kept it because its a handy reliable gun. please reply if you agree to having a decent, balanced, game against challenging, worthy, opponents and not trolling, win-crazy psychopaths. I apologise if you are a user of the overpowered weapons but shouldn't we all be on an even playing field? I am competitive so I don't like to lose, but I don't mind losing fair and square!

Start balancing the weapons more often! pvp requires more maintenance than you are providing to stay enjoyable.
EDIT: thanks to those being polite and thoughtful with their replies! to those wandering the forums to insult and troll nobody needs you here. to clarify I don't mind if a couple of people use the thorn or last word or felwinters lie in one game, I DO mind being killed my a group of four all using them, lets just say I like variety in the ways my head is filled with holes

Abusing? No, they are just using weapons and nothing is truly "overpowered". I've brought down guardians that had everything from Thorn and TLW to Truth. They all work as intended and all can be beaten. It's the old adage..."It's the Indian not the arrow".

Grow up. Bad enough the Devs were cheap and didn't provide dedicated server support for PVP, last thing this game needs is nerfs when it suffers from the morose ocean of lag you yourself are floating along the bottom of with your mouth open waiting for decaying matter in the form of a higher KDR to float aimlessly in it.

Actually you are so right, but let one of these fuxk boyz tell you otherwise. Thorn, which I have is just plan ugly and powerful at the same time. TLW, which I love to death was my first drop since the game came out so of course I wouldn't want it to be nerf. At the same time yes it's powerful. I understand your you argument, but only time will tell if and how they will truly balance these weapons.

5 RepliesBungie just needs to make preset load outs and end all this bullsht. Same exact garbage every day regarding Crucible. 1) Preset Loadouts with choices of AR, Scout Rifle, Pulse Rifle, or Handcannon. 2) Shotguns, Snipers, and Fusion Rifles are on set timers that can only be picked up on map. 3) Rocket Launchers and LMGs on set timers that can only be picked up on map. 4) Supers are picked up (a yellow ball [like Halo 3 Overshield or Camo] ) that spawns once or twice a game. BOOM. Most of the bullsht is done with. NO EXOTICS. Everyone starts with a rare primary. Crucible playlist can be made that allows Exotics but they remove all previous buffs and nerfs returning them to their original state.

1 ReplyIf you play for fun and not to win, then don't complain about not winning. If you play to win, then do whatever it takes to win. You can't have it both ways. Competition isn't about being fair, it's about being smart enough to find an edge even when the playing field is level. The playing field in destiny is level. You can use the same "OP" weapons you are complaining about to win... if you are skilled enough.

To me every weapon feel stable to each other even the low tier weapons, I don't use thorn either so if that's what you are going to say then don't check me I have less than 50 kills with it

Personally, I hate using the same weapons over and over in the crucible. You get so engrained into a single playing style that you always have the same weaknesses. Besides, what's the point in collecting all of these great legendary and exotic weapons if you don't use them? And you can't exactly show off your fancy new Necrochasm in PvE, can you? For example, I normally run with shotguns or fusion rifles because I prefer close-quarters combat. Recently, I've been trying out patience and time and it's completely changing the way I play. Just try something new and have fun with it.

(I am an unapologetic red death user) Since the object of the game is to win, I don't think the use of these guns is unsportsmanlike. People are going to use something that helps them to their goal of winning the game they are trying to play, plain and simple.

People will always use the best guns possible. They don't care what you think, as it is online and they never see/hear you. People will always follow the path of least resistance, which used to be suros, and is now thorn, last word, and red death. If I have a gun that kills people in 1.5 seconds, and one that kills in 2 seconds, which will I use? Obviously the first one, as it doesn't matter how skilled my opponent is, I will probably kill them first because I have the better gun. Why use a mediocre gun when u can use an amazing one? I'm just telling u this because that is how people think.

Yeah, not to mention that I was playing a 3v3 Team Deathmatch and guess what.. We got ourselves 3 people using 3 different Shotguns. When a game starts the chatter says "Stick together team, if you want to survive", we literally did, while they were solo. Rdiculous match, not enjoyable. Wtf moment every 9 seconds of the game. I would suggest less bullets for shotguns, even if the person picks up more special ammo.

Until there's dedicated server support for PVP in this game, and maps aren't so poorly designed, and Bungie isn't so simple minded about how to design PVP..... The standard will be 15% play PVP, and that's the extent of it. Bungie went the cheap route. They didn't want to put out the dedicated server support. And despite Lars Bakken maybe having the best of intentions, PVP in this game is morose. Forbes hit the nail on the head several times reviewing this games PVP. And every time Bungie nerfs a weapon class, essentially they are "buffing" everything else. Top it off with the VAGUE "stat bars" for weapons, which is a bunch of bars that have NO NUMBERS, topped by the fact that "damage numbers" are [i]not damage[/i] because damage is dictated by [u]impact[/u], you've basically got a formula for nothing but a bunch of damage number stats that are not damage inflicted, impact that is damage defined by range, range doesn't have a number in it's stat bar either, and a ton of gameplay that's so laughable MLG didn't think twice about saying "no" to this games PVP on the competitive scene. It doesn't matter what Bungie nerfs, buffs, or adds. The PVP is garbage. It's only played by 15%. And btw, there's nothing wrong with people who like PVP. There's something wrong with a company that isn't willing to provide the necessary requirements in their product so it's understandable and functions properly.

In battlefield people didn't use the stinger because they aren't assholes. You don't see people camping in the back of the map with a missile tank thing every match and there are 11x as many people in a match.
