Anyone els disappointed on the Prison of elders activity ?
IMO this is no way shape or form as good as a raid and the fact that it's 3 player makes it less enjoyable. What do you guys think ?

32 RepliesNot impressed, I dont play PVP so this was the thing I was looking forward to most. If I knew what the Season Pass would give I wouldnt have bothered buying it at release. All this is is a Horde Mode with a few tweaks, its long boring and looks very frustrating .. its just the same enemies weve been killing for eight months in a different room with a few mods. Wont be long before team members are leaving games in the hope of joining another a level or two up from where they were. Will we see the usual "hang around the back and let my team mates doe the work" crap we see in Strikes ?? .. Probably. Bet the strikes get downgraded to make us play this too. And if you do get through we'll be at the mercy of the RNG system. Thats not frustrating at all. Hopefully I will be wrong after I play it but I doubt it on first impressions. Bungie dont seem to have a plan, having failed to polish the turd they are now just rolling it in glitter. They are just reactively changing things all the time to suit the way they want us to play and the whole universe is just a confused mess to me. I'm sitting here waiting to play Project Cars when my digital version goes live at Midnight. Add in Bloodborne, GTA V, Driveclub, Alien Isolation and The Last of Us to finish and I can easily see Destiny going on the back burner. And thats a shame as the game mechanics are quality but the content is just not doing it for me.

I can understand while you might feel a little disappointed as a raid, when done properly (see VOG) feels like the pinnacle of this game and there is nothing wrong with wanting more but, I think a 3 manned activity such as the PoE will have its merits and could potentially be as frenetic and as exciting as a raid, granted on first viewing it's not as complexed as some raid mechanics it will still require coordination and communication. Ps Get ready to f**k shit up

Well, I kinda was until I saw the trailer. That looks fun, if not challenging. The reason they would have made it a fireteam event instead of a raid team event is because it is easier to build fireteams.

I see op's point. He probably has a group of 6+ friends that he plays with a lot and wants a six man activity to do that with.

Raids are fun but looking forward to something new. I'll save judgment till I actually play it.

Amazing how many people want to crap all over something before actually giving it a chance. At this point, ANY change is positive and welcome by most of the Destiny community.

Non of us can rate it yet, none of us have played it. I am very exited to try it out because it looks VERY challenging.

I mean im wasnt completly thrilled with it i was looking forward to a new raid becuase VOG was pretty cool and then there was crota eww gross so i was ready for something to bring back a good raid was i was let down yes but im now excited to try something new

It is more versatile than a raid but at the same time in concept it sounds pretty simple

The raids are not being replaced this is in addition to if you like raids go run those I am ready for something new and am excited to try the prison of elders before I make any judgments on if its good or bad But I bet its gonna be awesome

I think its nice to add in a different kind of activity, whether it will pose an actual challenge is yet to be seen. I mean, Deej and friends didnt exactly do a good job showing us how easy/hard it is in the Livestream reveal lol. But honestly I think if they had gone with another raid, the only thing we'd hear 5 hours after release would be, "just 2-man the new raid" and we'd all read it and just kind of dismiss the raid as any kind of a challenge. So im all for s nee PvE event, I got bored of running raids quite some time ago (still do it from time to time for gear and stuff) but I feel like its only about damn time we got a new type of PvE event.
