Did anybody else scroll to the bottom first to check for Bellaire before reading?

After 20 or so raids it gets pretty routine and you can breeze through most of the raid in your sleep. But the first few are fun as hell. Good job picking up the relic on your first run too. There are 32's out there with tons of raid completions who don't even know how to use the relic. Grab it as much as you can and get good with it, good relic holders are harder to find these days. Nice drops too. Getting two weapons on your first run is pretty good and Corrective Measure is still one of the best MG's in the game. My first run I got Vision of Confluence from Atheon and it's still one of my favorite rifles in the game.

Just wait until you do hard mode and get Fatebringer...

Goncrats buddy... I don't know anyone who's thought of death from above to get across the canyon their first attempt... In my clan we don't give any hints or tips there, just pop a couple of shots towards Aetheons door and tell the new player they have to get to there. Its all in fun and a good time, they know before hand we aren't going to help and that we all enjoy watching first timers try. Its like a 7th inning stretch for the rest of us... cig, mix another drink, banter and joke about while we wait... Its the best part of the raid for most of us...

Raids are the best part of destiny imo. If you're on xbone and find yourself in need of a group or want to learn how to do the portals, run the relic, run the sword on ce (i only know how to teach hunters though tbh) message me. GT same as posting name.

First thing I did was rekt the add arround us that had been picking us off, next I cleansed the remaining 2 players. We scrambled to pick up the others but for like every pick up a player got downed. After seeing three more players die I decided to focus on the Templar. I missed with my 1st shield blast, but connected with the next. The 2 guys left got him to damn near no health soon after he enraged again and we were swarmed by a squad of Minotaurs. I lost another player cleansed my self and the last remaining player. Just as I shot off a shield blast I swear a minotaur clubbed me in the back of the head and killed me! The room turned crimson red, the relic dropped and the Templar so close to death. Like a hail mary pass, my teammates rocket connected and took that bastard out! Victory. We celebrated, made fun of eachothers drops then journeyed deeper into the Vault. I was awarded my 1st legendary armor piece. Too bad it didn't immediately rase my light level. Sneaking trough the gorgon pit was tricky. I got us killed only once thought. But overall we died from the gorgon 3 times. I opened up a chest and got shards cool. I only have about 19 of them and I see I need a lot to upgrade armor. Anyways at the abyss where my team told me there should be some pillars spawning, there were no pillars. So I had to improvise. I jumped as far as I could, shoulder charged the air then used death from above to safety cross the abyss. Atheon here I come. Oh god what did I get into. I defended some white circle and these suicide gorgons blew me apart lol. Luckily the pug group I ran with knew what they were doing. 3 of them were 31, one 30 and a lvl 32. After playing defend the spot for a while and seeing people run in and out of portals I was rewarded with a cool LMG. I instantly equipped it over my puney rare rocket launcher that only did 199 solar and prepared for the next battle. Man was I glad I got that LMG, because soon after I was teleported to Venus and had to down a few oracles. I didn't notice take a player was afk, until the screen went red and the message read the gorgon found its prey! Wtf!!! Oh well we waited around till said player returned. I guess I didn't hear him when he said he would be back in a bit. No worries, my team filled me in on the upcoming parts so it was a much needed break for me anyway. So with a full raid party and everyone ready we had at it! Again I went to Venus and downed a few oracles, we all jumped to the middle platform and shot at Atheon. What I think we're two more waves of teleports and shooting at Atheon, we downed him. I got a Chatterwhite and some more shards. Too bad I didn't get a primary weapon, but there's always next week which just happens to be TODAY! I'm still a level 26 but hey, 8 deaths, 3rd in kills. I think I held my own. Speaking of that if you don't know what the vex mythoclast is then I urge you to learn about it and get it. I just got mine sunday and it's very op.

I use to not like Vault of Glass. All of a sudden now, I alway wanna do it. It's a super fun raid. I think it's cause my team is more experienced now. It's not as time consuming either. Lol. Have fun guardian!

Yep raids are the most fun thing to do in destiny. I feel bad for the people that have only cheesed certain parts and cant do it the fun and legit way

Nice job! Glad to know that your first raid experience was positive. If you happen to be on Xbox One, I would gladly join you whenever you're ready for your second raid. My friends and I like watching new raiders become some of the best we know. We'll help with Crota when you're ready too.
