Should 'Comet' end PS exclusivity forever? (September 2015)
Comment your answer and why you feel that way.
As for me, I'm on Xbox and I don't usually mind timed exclusives- it makes for good business deals between developers and corporations. But I've never experienced anything as ridiculous as Destiny's timed exclusives. I mean, a full [i]year[/i]? And Xbox doesn't get all the DLC either? It's absolutely inexcusable, especially considering Xbox owners pay the same price for the game/DLC.
I really hope the next Destiny installments don't have any type of exclusivity for either console.

3 RepliesActivision is one giant money grub. Playstation paid for exclusive content. That's business. Players are still buying the content, so it's a win for Activision. Microsoft could have negotiated a better deal for their players, but they didn't. It's ugly, but it's business. We live in a globalized, capitalist economy. As long as this is a way to maximize profits, game companies will do it.

I'm on Xbox and I honestly don't care. We will get it time, that being said I am sure there are a lot of people on PS that want us to have them... Because once we get them Xur will be able to sell them.

Yes, please end it! Then I can buy Monte Carlo, Hawkmoon and 4th Horseman from Xur instead of waiting for them to drop, lol. Screw the RNG-system.

9 RepliesI have a PS4, and I HATE the exclusive content. Hawkmoon is impossible to get, the armor is useless once you can unlock it. The strikes are a couple of the most annoying of the strikes. The MP maps are really the only decent content. I'd prefer everyone have access to it for no other reason than the possibility of Xur selling the weapons. This content is seriously the worst exclusive content I have ever seen. "Look at this cool shit you'll get if you buy on PS ... Well ... Maybe."

1 ReplyBoth consoles have had a lot of exclusives over the years. I'm on Xbox, which tended to get a lot of dlc exclusives while PS has had a lot of game exclusives. I think the whole thing should be abandoned by both companies.

I'm all for timed exclusives but a year is a really long time...they could do like a month or something like call of duty

I'm a PS4 player and I'd say there's no point in timed exclusive content because it's not like it'd sway me on which console to buy, all it does is annoy potentially half of your player Base. You xbox guys pay exactly the same so you should get exactly the same, it's common sense to me

If Sony pays for continuing the exclusivity, then it won't end. Remember, it's not how much you paid that matters - Bungie doesn't see the full price of the game. The marginal amount is what matters to them - and since Sony paid for more content - the marginal amount of money Bungie makes from PS4 users is higher.

Sony stock is falling to the point there might not be a PS5 so i don't think they will shell out more more exclusives past this year. A year is just far too long.

Stay PS4. Microsoft dont care about gamers the xbox one is a placeholder whilst they get azure running at full capacity. Look at microsofts roadmap.
