As for me, I'm on Xbox and I don't usually mind timed exclusives- it makes for good business deals between developers and corporations. But I've never experienced anything as ridiculous as Destiny's timed exclusives. I mean, a full year? And Xbox doesn't get all the DLC either? It's absolutely inexcusable, especially considering Xbox owners pay the same price for the game/DLC.
I really hope the next Destiny installments don't have any type of exclusivity for either console.
Edit: PLEASE DON'T PARTICIPATE IN CONSOLE WAR IN COMMENTS. Thanks.

I'm on Xbox and I really couldn't care, if Sony pays more, then they get more

I'm on Xbox and ps should get triple the exclusives for comet They're getting ripped off for only gettin one extra map for HoW!!!

-
Yes....btw I'm on ps4

I don't at all mind exclusive content for larger releases like the main games and comet expansions, but the in-between dlcs are so starved of content already that the exclusives would be a much more efficient incentive to continue playing than having to wait a year to get them. Even with exclusives, one release of the bi-annual content can be blown through in about a day. How does Bungie expect to keep consistent numbers on Xbox consoles for months when there's not enough content to even last that long? Don't get me wrong, I am grateful that Xbox actually does get the content, because they don't have to do that. But before Playstation people berate me, consider that the revenue coming from Xbox consoles also goes to fund everyone's future dlcs and expansions. If Bungie can't keep a long-term Xbox crowd entertained, everybody is in trouble.

1 ReplyI'm xbox and I voted no, they paid more to have exclusives, while Microsoft didn't.
-
1 ReplyI'm pretty sure that the contract Sony established with Activision was only for one year's worth of exclusives, and that everything afterwards is released at the same thing for all platforms.

42 RepliesMy thoughts on this are that all Xbox users that are so butthurt about the ps exclusives they dont have should really just suck it up because what about the Xbox excusive HALO or the Xbox exclusives on CoD? ps users had to suffer and endur the pain that is Xbox exclusives for far too long! Now it is us who will fight back and that first step is our, Destiny exclusives. there are 2 kinds of people in this world! 1 are all the playstation users that have been through hell and back, having to wait a whole MONTH for CoD dlc's to drop for them and having to go to sleep every night crying and wishing that Halo was available on Playstation. then there are the Xbox people that have just now experienced a taste of what its like to be deprived of the content you deserve. then there are -blam!-ing rich boys who have everything and dont give af... but they're irrelevant. in the real world there is only PLAYSTATION and XBOX, two substances that cannot mix. And now that the Xbox users are bitching and crying over a taste of ps exclusives they are revealing to us that they are weak. im only 10 and just got a playstation 4 on christmas but now i see the world as it is. a war, one never ending. All i know is at the end of this war, xbox will fall and psn will have ALL EXCLUSIVES, every game will be exclusive to ps, every app will be exclusive to ps, EVEN Xbox itself will be a ps exclusive and nothing will change that!!!!!!
Playstation > Xbox
1 ReplyEdited by Apweber42: 5/4/2015 11:15:27 PMYes. Ps4 user here. There isn't much content as is and don't mind if Xbox gets them. I don't see why it's a big deal and people wouldn't want Xbox to get them.

Wahhhhhhh wooooooo Wahhhhhhh wooooooo here comes the whambulance I bought the destiny ps4 because it said ps4 expierence!

5 RepliesI voted Yes but honestly I don't care if they get exclusives... I just care about the time frame. 1 year is TOO F'KING LONG! It should be no longer than 60 days.
-
Has exclusive dlc and games 99% of the time and is fine with it...loses dlc for one game and creates cry baby post.
-
1 ReplyWhy would anyone say no. As a gamer you should just want your fellow gamer to have fun regardless of what system he/she is on.
-
I meant yes! Oh god what have i done...
-
I agree I have a Ps4 and a year is to long it should have been 3 months at most.
-
I don't care
-
1 ReplyThe exclusivity should not and will not end. I do think that the one year separation of content is somewhat severe.
-
PC sitting here without destiny at all
-
PS4. Microsoft is money hungry and they don't care what so ever. Also, look at it, it looks like a VCR!
-
10 RepliesNo, Playstation is the superior system and PS4 players are more important than other gaming system users.
-
4 RepliesLol it makes me laugh that you're worried about timed exclusives but you will never get to experience The Last of Us, which is legitimately better than anything xbox has.
-
I am an Xbox user but if Sony are still paying for exclusive content then no. Both brands do it, and while I think it's a bad thing if they paid more for their users, then they will continue getting exclusive content.
-
1 ReplyYes Getting kinda annoying that it's a full year I don't even think the wait for Skyrim dlcs on PS was this long
-
2 RepliesYou guys do know sony will renew the contract right? Just like how Microsoft Renews the cod contract.
-
2 RepliesNo, but personally I'd like to see each system get its own exclusive content. Not just timed but actually exclusive.
-
1 ReplyI think the whole reason behind this ps exclusive has to do with bungie and Xbox having a falling out, and Xbox essentially stealing halo from them, or forcing them to leave it behind. Kind of a hard pill to swallow, and I don't blame them for the exclusives. I read an article on the split a long time ago, wish I could find it for reference.
