As for me, I'm on Xbox and I don't usually mind timed exclusives- it makes for good business deals between developers and corporations. But I've never experienced anything as ridiculous as Destiny's timed exclusives. I mean, a full year? And Xbox doesn't get all the DLC either? It's absolutely inexcusable, especially considering Xbox owners pay the same price for the game/DLC.
I really hope the next Destiny installments don't have any type of exclusivity for either console.
Edit: PLEASE DON'T PARTICIPATE IN CONSOLE WAR IN COMMENTS. Thanks.

Here's the thing though. Xbox probably won't try to get any exclusivity. If they don't then there's only 1 extra cash booster there that being PSN. I guess wether they think more sales on Xbox or sonys exclusivity check will make them more
-
I would imagine with E3 and CES coming around, Sony will strike another deal with Activision/Bungie for more exclusive content so they can still use the phrase "the best place to play Destiny is on Playstation." And then advertise the crap out of that content!! Is it fair? No. Just crappy business practices.
-
I hope so, but probably not.
-
It probably will. Unless Sony decides to sign another contract and -blam!- over Microsoft again.

3 RepliesI'm fine with pure exclusives more than 1-year+ timed exclusives. Halo only on Xbox? Ok Last of Us only on PS4? Ok DLC available 3 months earlier on one platform before the other? Ugh, I guess. 1-year of bonus content on one platform over the other? That sucks.

9 RepliesWhat happens when the contract with activision and Xbox is over for call of duty? Aw yeah they renew it.

1 ReplyEdited by Bromosexuall: 5/12/2015 3:34:55 PMI don't mind the fact that PS has its exclusives, the only problem I have is that we have to wait a year to get it on the Xbox. 6 months would've been fine.

We need an option in don't care

1 ReplyI want my Xbox rivals to experience the awesome maps and strikes and weapons like Hawkmoon. YES.

Edited by TSGN Leviathan: 5/12/2015 3:39:26 PMPersonally, I don't think exclusivity on ANY platform or game should ever have started in the first place, but then that's Microsofts fault for being cheapskates; reap what you sow I guess

Is destiny old news in sonys eyes now? Will Sony move on
-
Wether you like it or not, Xbox user have a decade to put up with it.
-
Don't care either way I just wish they would make the jump to next gen, I think older gen compatibility is what's holding this game back.
-
After comet Xbox gets exclusives until destiny 2 then ps gets exclusives til the next comet and switches like that. My thoughts 😏
-
Edited by Father Giliam: 5/12/2015 12:49:16 AMShould it end exclusivity permantly? No. Whoever pays for the exclusives should get them, as long as they're timed.
-
8 RepliesComet should end last gen console support.

Dry the tears xboners

Edited by Wowbagger: 5/11/2015 6:02:46 PMNo - only a "yes" if all consoles remove exclusivity in all download content. Otherwise, why the hell not.
-
Yes, time to burn old technology to the ground
-
The PS4 also has different enemies. Not different as in new, just named enemies that aren't as generic an on xbox.
-
Comet comes out in September. Exclusives end in December
-
Exclusives are ridiculous and I hope they go away.
-
Yes it should. And I want to play against Xbox One players from my PS4.... we can only dream
-
Exclusives are stupid anyway regardless of console.
-
5 RepliesI'm on PS4....Exclusivity is a bad idea... It only ends in anger and consol-war... STOP THE EXCLUSIVITY
-
Yes xbox or Activision always releases cod exclusives to ps so it should be the same way around imo. If they wanted to keep it ps exclusive then Sony should've published the game not activision.
