Are you Truly pumped for the Trials of Osiris?
To me, the Trials of Osiris looks pretty boring. The only reason I'll play it is to get rewards. If it had matchmaking that'd be pretty awesome though.
Edit: I do think it's interesting how they've finally made a game mode where shotguns will be outclassed by snipers.

-blam!- no!!! First time I will not even attempt the PvP content..I'm just happy now regular crucible will be more fun and less sweaty.

2 RepliesIt's meh for me don't get me wrong the gear is just straight up gorgeous BUT you can only lose 3 matches also you will basically need iron banner gear to stand a chance (also lots and lots of training then patience)

4 RepliesThis game mode is lazy development work by bungie, it's nothing new. It's skirmish with 0 respawns, so lame. And random matchmaking instead of by skill... game mode will be dead after everyone gets their gear (3 weekends?)

Not excited about elimination mode but I want the gear so I'll play. MM should be possible cause some people just aren't social and shouldn't be punished because of personality traits. I also think that of all the "problems" that arise with playing pvp with random all I can say is, good players adapt well to any situation. Still a fun game few things are upsetting but I'll be patient and hope the game evolves for the better.

1 ReplyI was, but i work weekends. I wont be able to play it. It should be periodic like the iron banner and run the entire week. I cant be the only one that cant play on weekends.

I ask myself all the time why I'm still playing and I can never come up with a legitimate reason, except I've paid up until house of wolves because I bought the guardian edition at release. All my friends have stopped and I'm left playing with randoms. I feel like a mouse in a spinning wheel.

It looks awesome, but I do not K ow I feel that those that excel at Skirmish will be at the greatest advantage.

I was excited about everything in HOW...until I went into iron banner and realized that PVP is severely broken. In ToO we are supposed to be matched with ppl in our area to support better connections so does that mean I should abandon friends in other parts of the world I have enjoyed the game with so far? There is nothing that can prevent international fire teams from producing lag artificially and unintentionally based on the premise of how we will be paired with other teams.

I am not a pvper. Not at all. After watching the first trials match in the archived stream I basically fastforwarded to all the talking points between the matches. Some cool ideas I suppose, if I cared about pvp at all I might find it interesting but since I don't the only announcement they could make about pvp that I would care an iota about is private matches.

1 ReplyI think it's cruddy that it's marketed as this headliner new mode when it's just a crucible variant with different settings... Which, I mean, can't possibly take a whole lot of development resources, right? There are a bunch of shooters with custom match settings that let the user change things like respawning, duration, etc. so I can't imagine they're doing much more than flipping some switches and championing it as this hot new item and attaching rewards. Furthermore, isn't it strange that the crucible custom match feature is strangely missing from Destiny when Halo had it? Probably because people would be able to make these same game variants if they thought they were fun and it'd point to how little work was involved with releases like this game mode. Anyway, ramblings over. I just think the whole thing sounds like a cop out. :)

It just looks like a quick game mode idea to give us since they weren't giving us a new raid. They basically just created a skirmish with no self revives & added half assed rewards. Same perks, different design.
