How's everyone's IronBanner?
It's Thursday morning and iron banner is still hot. How's everyone doing? Personally I've been doing better than normal PvP when I'm not dicking around. My thought is a little too many Vex Mythos but what are you going to do?
EDIT: what's everyone running for loadout? I've been using hawkmoon, light of the abyss / comedian, and either Hunger or corrective measure.
EDIT: Seems we have some lag issues but overall everyone is having a good time. I'm going to try and reply to all but enjoy this weeks IB before it's over. GET THAT GEAR BABY
EDIT: Came back to all these replies, thanks fellow guardians. I've been at work for a bit so I haven't been able to reply. Once I get off I sure will.
EDIT: DAMN at the end of the day still stuck in ran 2. My high hopes for reaching at least 4 are down the drain. Maybe Friday will yield better results and maybe xûr will have some bring good. But he usually is just here to disappoint. Have fun guardians. May you fare better than I.

Now I've been playing a mix of solo IB and team IB. What are your tactics for playing both? I've been hanging back and shooting long range with the hawkmoon and the occasional panic charge with the light of the abyss. BUT HOPEFULLY I can rank up just a little after work.

So far so good! Using Badger CCL, the crash/ldr 5001 and jolder's/truth. The lag is annoying, but today I've run in less red bar teams than yesterday. Also, my shiterrible k/d went a lil bit up and I'm 400/500 on the thorn bounty.

I just bought the Hunter helm & have full Hunter Iron Banner gear. Tomorrow I'm going for the helm on my Titan & if I have time over the weekend I'm going for the chest & helm for my Warlock. I've been using Oversoul Edict mostly & trying to switch it up but have to break out the cheese weapons when running into them. Thorn & TLW are just stupid good.

I just hit rank 3. I'm in it for the Titan chest and helmet. I need to complete the machine gun bounty but I find it hard to part with my Radegast Fury. That grenades and horseshoes perk comes through in the clutch everytime.

So far it's OK. I'm only in this for the spear and the helmet, but I might get timurs lash. I'm not a big fan of that hand Cannon but I haven't used it I a while so I'll see how I feel once I reach rank 4. I really wanted to do iron banner on my Warlock so I can get the chest thing (it looks so cool!), but I settled on my hunter. The only thing I wish is that I can get another rocket. I really need a good tracking arc rocket.

3 RepliesJust got to Rank 3 after starting yesterday. Bought a Spear (accidentally bought 2 of them) reforged and got the perks I want. Just going to be playing in hopes of a Felwinters dropping for me.

Good. Just got my spear with a semi decent roll. Ambush Scope, Surplus, Armor Piercing, and Final Round. Was hoping for perfect balance but I'll take it. Lol

1 ReplyIt's been going exceeding well. Even better then the last IB because I've finally found my grove in The Crucible. Initially I hated Destiny's PvP. It's still pretty unbalanced IMO, but this time around I decided to do something different...not care about how well I do. In previous IBs it's been "Need to win! Need to win! NEED TO WIN!!!" But since then I decided to get into the normal Crucible and hone my craft. And hone it I did. So now in the IB, I'm turning in more matches where I finish positive then negative, and scoring crazy amounts of points. A lot of it is due to the Up For Anything I own. The talent rolls are absolutely beastly. As far as DPS, it outclasses even the exotic ARs. Reactive Reload/Field Scout/Crowd Control...and the damage buffs RR and CC offer stack. So after a kill I do more damage, and after reloading I do more damage. So reloading after a kill means if there's another Guardian near by, they're finished. And finish them I have. I'm actually beating Guardians using tier 1 exotic primaries with alarming regularity, and loving it. Exotic level damage on a legendary...that has 56 rounds per magazine. So when the other guy is running low on ammo, I'm still hailing bullets at them. absolutely gratifying.

Been having some trouble due to the pile of losses I currently have. I'm rank 2 1/4 and I need to be rank 4 for the helmet. Hopefully I can get it before it escapes me lol
