Look another child left behind.
They are supposed to be RARE, few players are supposed to wear them.
If he sold them everyone would be wearing the same shaders, not a good idea.
I also have 8/12 shaders and all 3 faction ships, never open anything less than 5 packages at a time. If you have been opening 1-2 at a time you are lucky to even have one shader

When the only actual requirement to obtaining certain items in the game is to have a ridiculous amount of time invested (34+ days? Seriously?), it's bad game design.

Then why are you complaining? If you barely play this game then you dont deserve the rarest and most exclusive items simple as that. Shit. Btw each character is split between my two other roomates im the warlock with the total of yes you heard me, 6 days and 3 fwc shaders.

I can't remember the last time I thought, "Boy, that game was really fun because of the random gift I just so happen to have received at the end of it!" The rationale for RNG based systems is that, over time, everything is made available to the player....sounds to me like a developer is merely trying to rely on a phony reward system meant to artificially lengthen the life of the game. Edit: and is "my roommates share this account" the new "my little brother plays on this account"?

And not sure how "you have a lot of free time and get random rewards" equates to "butthurt" (I thought this word was strictly used in junior high, learn something new every day). Not a complaint. I see a system that defies any rational approach to feedback loops and basic human psychology. Well, developed psychology, at least. Children and gamblers LOVE RNG. It'd be great if Bungie made the effort to rectify that broken system. But hey, if you enjoy sitting at the table and watching the wheel spin, then that's fine. Pretty lights and colors, right?

Been playing Bungie games and coming to this site (for a private group) for about 8 years. Hobbies, ya know? I remember Bungie making great games, would be happy if they returned to smart development. Yes, I am. It's a cosmetic item. Completely devoid of gameplay altering features. Not even much of a status symbol, given you CAN get it very early. It shouldn't be random. Is thinking hard?
