You, along with fans of games like Evolve, have now ensured that the days of buying a complete game are long gone. Soon enough, every game will have a season pass at launch, and companies will continue to hack their games into pieces so that they can milk gamers (or in this case their parents ) for every dime they can. Selling you just a chunk of the actual, complete game $20 at a time. And not only do you not even question these methods, but you wait in line to bend over for them.

Like the newest Dead or Alive game! Like £70 of day one dlc! Its disgusting!
-
Games have had season passes for a few years now. Accept it or find another interest it's really that simple. I've been gaming over 30 years and I have never seen so many crying little bitches. You and your cancerous threads are so funny.
-
Which is the primary reason why I'm not buying battlefield star wars, at least not right away. I paid $50 for bf2 and that came with the prequals and space combat. Why should I pay $10 more for a game that simply looks better with less content?
-
Please use the search option in the future. You will find loads of whiney children, like yourself, to have big old cry fests with.

Like R.E.M. said, "It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine."

ALERTJust another whiny bitch complaining. nothing to see here

2 RepliesWell said. I propose we go back to the days before patches and DLC, when games came on a $119 cartridge and had a fraction of the content they have today.

you're late to the party

18 RepliesYou think you're a smart consumer and the whole world is a tidal wave of sheep that is just ruining it for people like yourself. You're an entitled bigot whose ignorance forgets that games are becoming more and more expensive to make every single year. In order to make money, they don't raise game prices, they sell additional parts to a complete game as dlc. But don't worry, if you're too cheap to buy the dlc, you are getting a lot just for having destiny. New vendor weapons, and armor pieces will be available to you, plus constant updates to improve the UI and game mechanics. However, I think it's best if you just stop playing video games. Go find a more expensive hobby like paying for cardboard cards with holographic images on them, or maybe a more physical hobby, like base ball. I don't care what you move on to, just leave these forums. Tl,dr : you're a trolling dick.

I never understand these posts it's basically the internet version of the crazy guy shouting at shoppers as they walk past
-
So why are you here exactly? Attention? Hugs? Lollipop? Deez nutz? Free country bruh! And i got money. Sooo?
-
You bought the expansion pass. Troll much?
-
the problem is you'll never get enough people to 'vote with their money' to accomplish anything. Much like politics and every other major corporation, they don't care about anything but money and elevating themselves. And the second you do try to change something, the people at the top are one step ahead of you. We're the little guy, and we'll never get anywhere. There are people who will always have the power and people who will never have the power, and if anyone new gets the power, they are already corrupt/in the pocket of the majority who have the power.
-
That should tell you something then, shouldn't it? People vote with their money. Clearly people are fine with this, and they are not wrong for it. You buy what you like, that's all there is to it. If we had the technology for DLC in the days of N64, I would have been ecstatic. There were so many games I would have loved to see more content for, even though I was more than happy with the base game.

I accept your "Bravo" and offer "Raspberry" in return. Presumptive on my part I know, but just a quick question: cable television or satellite at your place?
-
I mean... if you're gonna blame any single company, should probably blame Bioware and the Prothean DLC for ME3. Protheans... the most important race in the Mass Effect universe, in what should be one of the most pivotal moments in the game (finding one alive)... is a DLC. Yeah, not blaming the gamers. Blaming the industry that created this standard.

Edited by Moogen5: 4/24/2015 5:20:51 AMSo smug... I'm assuming you never purchase anything? Walk around barefoot, clothes made out of leaves.... because of course you're not a consumer like the rest of us awful people. Oh wait.... you bought the game...

1 ReplyUnless you are a game developer that has worked on this game for the 5+ years of development I'm not sure you should make such comments.

Edited by JEsusVSWalMart2: 4/24/2015 5:09:06 AMHmmmmmm These games have been around for awhile hmmmmmm

6 RepliesHere is the way I think of it. What if they put a subscription on the game like some mmo's do. To keep coming out with additional content, they would need some source of income hence the dlcs. Subscription: $60 + $15x6 = $150 (Assuming first month would be free) DLC: $60 + $35/$40 = $95/$100 Hmm, wonder which I would take.

2 RepliesEdited by Whysummondemons: 4/24/2015 3:48:42 AMMMOS will never be a complete game. They're constantly evolving and that'll never change, when you put thousands of players in an environment where they can interact, things are bound to change. Limits will be reached and thus new limits will have to be created.

4 RepliesThen go back to playing board game peasant. Programming cost money , business is business , if you want to play , you go to pay . That's the world . If you don't understand that You'll be in a world of hurt . And if your that cheap . Ask Santa for Christmas pumpkin. Say no to nerf'ers
-
Tell you what, if you don't want to play for it,don't pay for it.

I felt the same way for a long time but I've come to realize that there is a lot of benefits to this new style of gaming. If destiny had put all the content into one game and sold it for 60 bucks, they would have no incentives to keep working on their product. We would no longer have an evolving game and would essentially be bored immediately after completing all the missions and running through crucible for awhile. It does suck having to wait for HOW though. It will be interesting to see where this franchise sets in a few years.

1 ReplyEdited by Nyx Moontide: 4/24/2015 2:38:47 AMIf you want a game like you are describing, look at free to play games and their business model (worst thing to happen to games ever). You're barking up the wrong tree, either through lies or sheer ignorance.
