The stream was awesome yesterday and shared a lot of really exciting info.
Here's one question I need the answer to.
Will the strength, intellect, and discipline bonuses of the VoG armor be scaled to the new defense rating? Or am I stuck with 1/2 the intellect bonus to wear the gear I want?

6 RepliesUgh... I never thought of that myself. However shouldn't all legendary gear be roughly equal? Newer armor shouldn't have more stat buffs than derived armor because those % are fixed numbers I thought.

Attribute armour stats are just rolls, increasing your max light level won't ever affect how fast you gain, intellect, strength etc..that's all RNG as far as higher or lower numbers attached to armour/gear go. Some stats may come with higher intellect or one of the other 3 but you always cap at 100% so there's no real need for say VoG armour stats once ascended to raise, just keep an eye out for a better roll if you find some are low.

2 RepliesEdited by RedKain243: 4/23/2015 2:47:48 PMBungie please? What about upgrading exotics? Will the stats change?

I'd say that it's likely going to stay the same. While you can reach 34 with old gear, maximized loadouts should remained tied to current end-game gear IMO.

From what it looks like, going by when Deej upgraded a fate bringer and showed a titan in full vault of glass armor everything is boosted to max level........attack and defense, perks don't reset, it's a straight up max out upgrade.
-
These Stats and Perks really ought to break out into transferable cores you can apply to similar-class weapon. I want my "Dress Whites" 0.9 initial gear made Lvl 34 (TBD)

Yeah, I was thinking that myself. I have raided so much that I've dismantled at least 50 full sets of armor from VoG and CE and must say that you are right. The stat levels on CE gear on average are always more than the VoG gear.

It got me motivated to play again. I started the process of buying a set of Dead Orbit Armor for my Hunter before the old armor is switched out when the DLC drops. If I like the way it looks in comparison to the new armor, I'll be ascending it. I'm also getting into the Crucible again to prepare for ToO.

2 RepliesWhy would the int/dis/str stats need to increase? You only need about 280 to get a 100% increase to that stat.
-
I don't know, we'll just have to wait and see.

Curious about exotics also, hopefully the Int/Dis/Str stats increase when we upgrade their light level.

Bump.. I am very interested in how this will effect both armor and weapons.
