2 RepliesIt's all opinion based, that's like me saying, "prove to me that God exists and I'll convert to Christianity." You just can't, you chose to have faith in God and that's your choice. You can't prove one side right and you can't prove one side wrong.

7 RepliesI used to be catholic. I would pray before meals, in the morning, before bed. I went to church every sunday. My only prayer was never answered: keep my family happy and healthy. I lost faith because this happened Great grandma died Dog got put down because of cancer Great grandpa died In three years.

If a claim provides no evidence then no evidence is necessary to denounce it. Therefore if you say God exists, but provide no evidence. I can say God doesn't exist without using evidence.

Wrote this a while ago but think it's kinda relevant: I've been away from the atheist community for more than a year now, and I'm disappointed to see that it hasn't changed at all. So here's my rant towards you, consider this a wake up call, or don't I'm not your mother. The theists on this app that you "debate" are pretty unintelligent, the entirety of their logic is derived from the concept of faith which is easy to dismiss as silly and childish. However, the major arguments you use are all based on our logical understanding of the universe. Examples "if God creates a stone he cannot lift, he is not omnipotent. If he cannot create a stone he cannot lift, he is also not omnipotent." This can be easily refuted with the fact that God is -blam!-ing omnipotent. I don't think you know what that means and the weight that term carries, it means he isn't bound to the laws of our perception of reality. God hypothetically exists outside of what the human brain is even capable of understanding, our logic need not apply. Another point I often see Atheists use is that God is supposed to be completely moral and a benevolent lord, but in the Bible he's a giant duchebag. Well that might be true, but human morals are constantly changing. So applying the morals of our society to a bunch of idiots living in the their own poop is futile. Human morals cannot be applied to a higher being, as humans we often question our own morals how are we supposed to understand those of a God? Before I bring up every bullshit argument I've used in my time as a militant atheist, I'll just tie up loose ends by reminding you that the Christian God is so powerful and Christianity has done so well because their God is omnipotent. Why did the Gods and religion (mythology) of Ancient Greece die? Because their Gods can be disproved with human logic because they weren't omnipotent, I would honestly consider them closer to super heroes (or dicks with super powers) than I would the Christian God. Anyway, just a friendly reminder from your agnostic friend.

Since God is all knowing, he knows what it's like to snort some crack off the rear end of a dollar hooker. That falls under something we like to call lust. To know lust is to sin. To be of sin, one can not be good. Therefore, God CAN NOT be all good if he is all knowing. The only way this doesn't hold up is if he is one or the other, but not both.

Here's my view. A creator might exist but it's not any god that major religions believe in. [spoiler]Also, the burden of proof is on the positive claim. If I say leprechauns exist and you say they don't, I can't ask you to prove to me they don't exist. I have the burden of proof in that scenario[/spoiler]
