Over 100 hours no exotics... Help!!
I just need someone to have the patience and Time to help me level up. I'm on Xbox one if anyone would be willing to carry a scrub! How do you get good guns. Tell me which one I should get.

Focus on getting vanguard marks to buy level 31 armor then ask people to nightfall with you, always a good chance of an exotic there, also do weekly heroic strikes for strange coins and buy from Xur.

I have way over 100 hours no exotics have ever dropped I've had to buy all of mine

Dude you really need to buy gear from the vendors. When you get to lvl 26 do Vault of Glass. At lvl 27 you should be able to find a team to carry you through crotas end to get gear. As you raid and lvl do the nightfall and heroic strikes. Before you know it you'll have almost all of them ;)

Buy one from Xur. Create more characters to improve your odds of getting drops.

Also make another character of the same class so you can do twice the bounties, raids, and strikes. More of a chance of getting them.

You should play pve more, build your vanguard rep up and play strikes, do dailies and things will get better.

I feel your pain man. The only exotics I have were purchased from Xur or exotic bounties. Like another poster said, turn in 5-6 vanguard bounties at once and you'll start getting the exotic bounties. Run weeklies now that they're match made and run vanguard strikes. Good luck.

On two characters you don't have a single strike or raid that you've even participated in; you should probably start there. The more you do, the better your chances are of getting drops for legendary weapons and gear. Also do EVERYTHING the game has to offer every week. Do the nightfalls with a couple friends; do the herioc by yourself (Bungie patched in a match-making system so you won't literally run it alone, you'll have two others with you) and do the Daily story missions on the hardest difficulty your character can handle. That will get you more drops, more Vanguard marks, and you may get lucky with a exotic engram as well. In short, do as much as you can. Don't forget to go to the tower for the daily bounties. Get those done to level up your faction rating and that will, at times, get you legendary gear. Good luck guardian.

1 ReplyPlaying mainly crucible isn't going to help you. Buy Vanguard/Crucible/Faction/Iron Banner armor to boost your level, do the weekly to get coins. Buy from Xur. Do nightfalls Raid The exotics will come.

1 ReplyOkay I'm about to give you some Super Good Advice! Compete all vanguard bounties in a day and turn all of them in at once. This will build your vanguard rep and increase your chance for an exotic bounty. "A voice in the wilderness" is the easiest to complete. Also play the Highest level strikes that you can and do the daily missions. This will build your vanguard marks so you can purchase vanguard gear, so you can play higher level content. took me to level 27 with Cryptarch to get my first drop and Iron Banner to get my second. If I want more then it will have to be more Iron banner, Raid or Nightfall. But you will not get the drops unless you put yourself in the places where they are most likely to fall - (Iron banner, Nightfall, Raid) and obviously get coins from the weeklys to buy the stuff from Xur. You really should just get the armour to get yout to light level 31 - will only take a dozen hrs at most, then you can do nightfall, weeklys at full level and raid if you wish. The faction vendors sell 31 light armour, the vanguard vendor sells it and the crucible vendor sells it. All you need is crucible marks (3 marks for winning a game and 2 for a loss) or doing lots of gold destiny public events as they give 4 each and only take 5mins. - just use: http://destinypublicevents.com/ to find them if you really put some time into destiny next week you could get 100 crucible marks and 100 vanguard marks (thats the max allowed each week) - then do the same the week after and you will have had enough marks to buy a full set of 31 light armour - just need the shards to level it up.

keep playing. I am not putting you down, but 125 hours is a fairly small amount. especially since you can not be eligible to get exotic gear until level 20. So most of your play time I am guessing you were not yet able to acquire the gear. keep playing the weekly missions, stikes, and working on getting that gear higher up. You will get the goods to drop soon! good luck.
