To all sword runners
Thank you for running the sword. I my self do not have time to practice running the sword as I do not have that much time to cause wipes you're doing great!
If you're noticing that crota is lagging/glitch ask to be the host, this usually fixes the issues. It doesn't matter what the rest of the fire team sees as long as you're the one calling for the rockets.
Edit: Finally manned up and was the sword runner. Sure we wiped about 5 or 6 times and it took me 3 swords to beat him on normal but it was a fun change!

8 RepliesToo bad my teammates keep getting Gjallarhorn when I run swordbearer, and I get multiples of the Word of Crota. Still worth it to help out my friends, but c'mon Crota. Also, the Titan's distracting boomers are a huge key in my success, as well as general teamwork and communication.

If I do a crota raid I almost always ask to run sword and if someone wants to learn I attempt to teach them and let them run it. If you ever want some advice or someone to watch kill him on hard message me if you are on xbox one.

My heart flutters a bit....but i don't shake until the clutch moments where he looks close to death but needs more swipes and the whole teams yelling in your ear "take em out" and your fingers going numb from r1 & r2'ing him with all your fingers little might. Did i mention he's standing up instead of kneeling which throws off your judgment as to whether its safe to attack or not

I give props to the rocketeers. I've run sword for too many teams that couldn't figure out when to shoot rockets or how many. A component rocket team is extremely important. Even with Gjallarhorn, I've seen people fail to drop Crota's shield and even if they do and I get my hits, they die somewhere in between. It's all team work, not just the sword carrier.

Ive been doing it as a titan on botg normal and hard, i have recently decided to delete a titan and build a hunter because doing hard crota with a titan is a bitch trying to time the dps.

You're welcome. Its always been my opinion, even before I started running the sword, that the person who does it should get a minor reward like a unique banner for thier name tag or something. We've all had that moment where the question is asked "whos gonna run the sword?" and the room goes silent.
