Hate Ammo Changes in Crucible!!!
Bungie,
I am a big fan of this game. I think it is a great shooter.
And I am not some kid, I am a clan leader for Dads of Destiny. But...
Wow do I hate what you have done to the crucible. I used to spawn and get right into action. Now I find myself standing around waiting, and waiting and waiting... for ammo. Why? Well I use the MIDA scout rifle a lot so naturally I need something for close range and I choose a shotgun. But I really can not use it, if I do not have any ammo so I have a choice: I can go out and die with no special ammo OR I can sit around watching the timer on the green box. AND THAT IS NOT REALLY VERY FUN.
What about purple heavy ? Yes, I find myself sitting around waiting for that also. But this wait, oh it is great because of the 5 control matches I just played - NO ONE, ZERO people could wait at the heavy for others. AND if you did wait, well someone on the other team had enough time to get there and ruin your drop with a super. Like 80% of the time I was at the heavy waiting and got super killed.
WHAT FRUSTRATION!
And you might say - oh this guy is no good at PVP and just crying.... well maybe I am crying but I am a decent player with 1.23 KDR and top 1 or 2 % in most categories according to DTR. So I know the crucible.
But what I want to know is how you came to these times for the timers? Did you just guess? Did you understand the ramifications of basically making special weapons and heavy weapons almost useless?
I have no idea what you were thinking but you made my fun time after work into a big frustration. And not because of loosing because we won 4 of 5 matches ( with random people) but because it is just a game of primary weapons now.

I feel like when bungie released the 1.1.2 update, it has made the crucible worse than before because for starters, if players aren't able to get special ammo for there sniper rifles or shotguns then bungie is basically influencing us to use Invective or Ice breaker because you do not need to bother with ammo. With universal remote, it doesn't help with the situation because you dont even need special ammo any more. I just played Crucible a couple of times ( and im not the average noob that gets no kills , my average K/D Ratio is usually at a average of 3.00-4.00, so i know whats up) and i wasnt able to win one match because the whole other team was using universal remote or invective as a primary. This update to me hasnt made the crucible any better, and in my opinion it has just made it worse for almost everyone. What do guys think about my idea, am i crying too much that crucible is broken or is the crucible just broken ever since release. Let me hear you opinion.

I started a similar topic named "hanging out next to boxes". I agree with you except it's you shotgun users using them for 90% of your kills that lead us to this. Shotguns now have massively reduced ammo, snipers well reduced and damn I don't seem to have as much an issue with fusion rifles. It would be nice to see the crucible kill per gun data to see why this happened and what better solution they could have came up with.

If you read the daily update it says that it's to make you think more resourcefully but it can be annoying with getting killed waiting so try to keep your eyes on the radar while waiting just a tip.

1 ReplyI think the ammo drops should be removed form pvp, and make players spawn with basic weapons nothing special about them, and heavy and special weapons become pickups with limited ammo.

4 RepliesI like the ammo changes... right up until I tried doing the crucible thorn bounty lmao Without a void primary you run out of ammo immediately, and you triple or quadruple the amount of time it takes to clear the void kills.

I can't say I love the change, but I can say it brought a much needed change of pace. Trust me I loved running around going on killing sprees with my swordbreaker or murmur. The one thing I noticed is that it's much easier for a organized team to rain rockets down upon you...good and bad I suppose

Adapt, reload, keep your head down, and bring those other guns you've been neglecting to use out to the field. The Crucible knows no mercy and neither do I. I love my shotgun but if I can shoot you with a scout before hand I'll take the scout. Change will always happen, you gonna whine or get better? I can take on a hand cannon just as fine with any weapon. I'll see you all out there. -Be Brave

It allows for people to have to play smarter with less all out shotgun and rocket battles. If you use a mida well you should probably like these changes more. All in all its SPECIAL ammo, so treat it as such and stop waiting around for it and go grab control points. Lastly I would say anything over a 1.5 is decent.

People from gears of war are working now on destiny so now u know where the idea comes from to limit all the ammunition...

Its great, i say this and my main gun is the felwinter in pvp. It actually makes those primaries useful.
