Why do players say PvE?
It isn't player versus everyone? It's player versus monster. Just odd.
Edit: you are all wrong.

Well I was going to laugh at you because I thought it was player vs engine. But it seems most people are saying player vs environment. Engine must be an outdated term. Guess I'm the asshole

5 RepliesWell, in terms of coding and games. Those trees and the "monsters" as you call them are made up of code and are controlled by the game. Going into patrol, you land in the game and fight enemies that are spawned in the same locations as they always are, much like those trees. An environment isn't synonymous with setting. An environment includes every aspect of it. A cabal centurion is as much part of the environment as the surrounding mass of land, trees and buildings.

PvE stand for Player vs Environment (AI enemies are included with environment) PvP stands for Player vs Player.

To be honest it started as PvED but somehow it was shortened. When playing these graphic games it changes you but never for the better. As a long time gamer we started a group players vs erectile disfunction. Hour after hour you sit there playing games and well certain things stop working and we need to help one another fight through this sickness. Stand together guardians.
