Why do players say PvE?
It isn't player versus everyone? It's player versus monster. Just odd.
Edit: you are all wrong.
Edit: never expected this many replies. Party on everyone and get out there for some more PvM.

You could see it that way but how it's generally understood is player versus enviro men or pve but you can have your own opinion of its meaning I suppose

3 RepliesTechnically, PvE is just an acronym. There's no definitive meaning, it's open for interpretation based on each situation. Generally in gaming it means player vs everyone, BUT it could be altered to represent our situation in Destiny... player vs enemies seems to fit well. Lol really as an MMO gamer of many years, I think it's really just the opposite of PvP, whatever game you're playing. Its not much different from WoW or PWI. Either your killing other live players, or you're working together (or alone) to kill AI controlled enemies.

Pve = player vs environment Pvp = player vs player It's an old mmo term that's been around for probably longer than you've played games lol. Environment encompasses everything except other players characters.

I don't think the Cabal, Vex and Fallen would appreciate you calling them monsters. In fact they probably see [i]us[/i] as the monsters. Can't say the same for the hive. Gad damn monsters!
