A simple and fair solution to Thorn
Simple, alter its exotic DOT perk.
The DOT perk will become akin to Luck in the Chamber with DOT on top of it. I propose that TWO lucky rounds have the poison effect applied to them while the rest well be normal projectiles.
If this is applied, it will be a soft nerf to the poison effect abuse in the crucible and the weapon will also still be viable in PVE due to people spending more rounds into high health bosses/enemies ensuring the poison lucky rounds will proc.

Now what I propose is that they carry that mechanic over to pvp, there's nothing more annoying than outrunning a person, and then 5 seconds later you die due to there dot...

No. If a nerf happens keep it to PvP...don't need PvE getting ruined for people complaining about PvP.

3 RepliesI've stopped using the thorn. Its just too easy to get kills with... Bit of crutch weapon in my opinion. Its a weapon that's only really annoying when a whole team has it equipped. If they were to do any *nerfs* to this weapon I'd only imagine an impact reduction. Two shot kills should only really work with the hawkmoon or TL(and its rare counterparts). Otherwise its fine as is.

If they have to do something which I don't think they do. It should only be a dot damage reduction in the crucible. No sense reducing is pve effectiveness for no reason

Will everyone please stop asking for things to be be nerfed!!!!!! Ask for special PvP armor that is Thorn proof or stuff that helps. NEVER ask to weaken tools people have to use in the game, seek ways to combat them or overcome them.....

Yes! Every weapon, super, and melee needs a nerf so that this game will be unplayable by everyone! That way we don't have to read another post about nerfing weapons, supers, and melees from cry babies.

Two headshots is all it'll take, to make sure you wind up in a stone-cold state And if that good ol' Thorn don't kill, damage over time will make sure it will Fusions, shotguns don't you fret, post mortems is what we'll get And if you're still alive, beware. There's plenty more of Thorns out there.
