32's Who Refuse to run shield......
First of all this isn't a have a go post, I can accept not everyone knows how to run shield which I accept and have mountains of patience for, it's the people who don't know how and refuse to learn it, surely it would make the whole raid smoother, I'm not even talking about the Templar shield I'm talking about the end bit, there is nothing more frustrating than 3 refuse to be shield barers transported together, what is everyone else's opinion on this ?
Edit 1 - relic - shield same difference when you pick up the sword on crota the game calls it a relic #fyi

1 ReplyPlaying since day 1, never did vog until after dlc. Didn't even buy dlc. Reached 32 only cuz of iron banner. Reason: no one tried to teach, when I want to learn, people will already take the shield

4 RepliesFor those that don't run shield... Listen to the calls of the relic holder when they get teleported... you have plenty of time before the first oracle spawns, if the holder asks you to pick off a hobgoblin on Mars because he is away from the pack, at least place the hobgoblin in statis please... When they're spread out it's a pain in the ass, otherwise do nothing. But most importantly when you get teleported to Venus, both of you throw a grenade at the minotaur and if you have time (you should EASILY do) then kill a goblin each, I can't tell you how many times relic holders (me included) have died because while we killed minotaur; those guys chipped away at our health. Thanks:)

I picked up the shield being a starter relic user in my first ever VOG run being a 31 and after 3 minutes of testing I learned how to use it properly and we killed the Templar 3rd try since no one was willing to pick up relic

Problem is new players got to skip the VOG and the lvl 30 cap completely so they went right to crota and now dont know a thing about the mechanics of VOG

If it's VOG a 30 can take it just as easily as a 32. There's no damage difference above 30 that's where it Caps at so

1 ReplyI enjoy running relic. I hate wiping to missed oracles more than I enjoy running relic, so I let someone who can't hit static targets run relic.

2 RepliesIf you can't run the relic in both raids you're a scrub you don't have to be a hunter in CE (it is easier) who can't slam the 3 enemies? Like jump RT/ just RT!! Cleanse every so often, And then shield the middle. If we wipe cause three people can't run relic and keep getting sucked in (with the exception of new players, everyone's gotta learn sometime) you're booted from my fire team

It's fun to learn new things in Raids. However, there are still a lot of people who don't want to touch the sword in Crota's End. People don't want to waste the time or heavy ammo synthesis, as they're drooling for their potential loot. And so many players get stressed with failure. I'd like to see more raid teams where learning is an objective. But it seems fewer people have the time or inclination to pass on knowledge. An Xbox friend invited me to Crota Normal and before I could switch my armour from 28 to 32 (I was levelling up replacement raid gear to better balance my stats), I was kicked from the Fireteam by 30s.

Does it really matter? If they don't want to try it ever then let it be. I don't like playing if I can't use a relic, but that doesn't mean you can only have fun while using it.

I rock a Super Good Advice with a sniper, occasionally a fusion. I'm not touching the relic until I know the group can take the oracles regardless of who gets teleported. Also, when the group has some less regimented raiders, I find myself killing Atheon on like the 4th teleport with a team of 3 standing. Not the kind of encounter where you want your Oracle Assassin running around with the shield.

Relic is so damn easy. I will run it if necessary but having a maxed out corrective measure, i can take out the oracles alone

I ran relic when I was doing VOG my first time. I was level 27. XD

1 ReplyIt took me forever to learn the relic in VoG. By the time I was transported someone already had it. The few times no one grabbed it I did and slllooowwwlly learned it. They did much better with CE with Sword of Crota spawns on Earth and Moon. But... I'm back to where I was with VoG and 9 out of 10 someone is already designated. I definitely don't want to be wasting peoples time learning it on their dime, especially when most of the raid they are complaining when one person get's killed or this is taking too long after one wipe. Plus I find it hard to understand why people complain about the sword runner... If they are that bad then pick it up and show everyone how it's done.
