After putting Destiny down for a few days to play some other old time favorites, I realized how uninterested I am in continuing to play this game, primarily due to its repetitive gameplay .And the only thing the DLC gave us was a small collection of new weapons and armor with a few so-call "story" levels. In my opinion, if there are no new cut-scenes, I don't consider that much of an expansion on the already near-non-existent story line. Bungie just gave us a few more things to do over and over and over and over and over and over again. The worse part was the fact that there was no point in aspiring for different weapons and armor from factions, when all you gotta do is play crota's raid over and over for all the best gear in the game. But what about exotics right? All I had to do was keep track of the day of the week, and skip around the tower looking for his next randomly chosen spot. I got just about every exotic I could ever want, just from a few bounties and regular visits at the Xur dentist. And let me tell ya, it wasn't hard. And nothing beats listening to the same unskippable diologue over and over again. The creators also failed to bring our characters to life in a colorful stroyline, as most MMO's would have done. I don't find it very engaging when I'm playing as a faceless, non-important, order-following drone that met the speaker one time and suddenly became his pet. I mean, even the story they did put together is just so vague. The Darkness? You know who I think the Darkness is? It's the Speaker. There is nothing but an empty void of nothingness hiding behind that mask, and he is pulling the strings on all sides of the galactic battlefield. But who knows, you need people who actually read the grims to tell you anything going on in the story. But anyway, just to end the rant because its a pointless one really, I would say put this game down for a while and try some games you used to love, and notice how much better other games really are. This game isn't the worst, but honestly, the only thing that keeps it going is by playing on your subconscious with "reward systems" and gambling. I'm sure a lot of the people that were a part of creating this game, had bigger things in mind for the players. But it's easy to tell how this game was spliced to pieces before it's release so Bungie could sell the fans pieces of the game that originally should have been in the released version. They gave us something small and repetitive, and through mainstream propaganda for a year, programmed us all to think this game was gonna be huge! So we all went out and bought it like good sheeple and have been playing the same levels ever since. I'm not saying it's all bad, it is fun, and could have been great! Sure pvp is fun, but good god it is just as repetitive. I think if they would have come out with the first two expansions already included, I would be typing a different critique. After looking into it, I'm pretty sure both the Crota's End and HOW expansions are actually two pieces that were meant to be a part of the initial release of the game. A lot of people seem to think they cut huge chunks out of this game to sell it back to the blissfully un aware fans they accumulate. --And yes, I'm still on the forums. Forums are for speaking your opinions and observations. Not just for die-hard fans. UPDATE: It's so funny how many people this is pissing off. And how much controversial attention this is getting. Cool that a lot of people see where I'm coming from. And u pissed off fans will thank people like me for putting the pressure on so you (hopefully) won't get scammed again.
