Sniping in pvp
I hate you all. But i give you all props. Sniping is uber hard, for me at least. Lol.
Side note- we all can agree that thorn is a little op...right?

So as of Monday after getting home from work i started my sniper training :). And to my surprise, i did better than i thought i did :).
Today my traning will continue....

Just wanted other snipers opinions, is it bad to feel dissapointed for not gettong head shots? And having to try to get the kill with body shots?

Sniping seems pretty easy but I have always enjoyed sniping in any game, I even snipe with the nlb

E-spear is BEAST in pvp. Especially with last round.

9 RepliesSniping is fair game. Too many people walk casually, camp, or stay wide in the open for the entire game. I'm not going to waste my time getting to you if I can take you out then move on to a closer target. And I snipe if it's a flippin hunter.

1 ReplyWas playing control on shores of time yesterday. We had C, the enemy had A and B. We were down by a few thousand. And I kid you not, all 5 of my teammates were sitting there sniping by C looking at B. They were all touching each other. And I was the only positive one on the team. I hate this more than being killed by it.

Edit: people seem to think I'm hating on snipers. I'm not. I'm saying that if you are one of those people that sits in the back of the map and doesn't budge then your no better then someone that uses a shotgun/fusion rifle the whole match.

10 RepliesSniping in this game is actually easy compared to battlefield games where you have to lead and adjust for gravity and such.

3 RepliesWhen you see what map you are playing on. Prepare yourself for sniper encounters (shores of time/blind watch and the two earth maps) Go in knowing you're gonna have to snipe and stick with it through the match. A good sniper to use and start with is an LDR and patience and time.

1 ReplyWhen practicing your long ranged marksmanship you're likely to run into a superior sniper. When that happens try to take them from an angle they don't expect to be shot from. If you aren't spotted immediately you may even have time to aim your shot.

4 RepliesFirst time I ever fired a sniper rifle in crucible was an accident. I forgot to eqip my shotgun. Saw someone coming on the radar and quickly switched guns and pulled the trigger. Headshot. I wish I had known how to record clips at the time I would have saved it.

I'm pretty average at sniping but it's so much more satisfying landing a headshot from across the map than rushing in and trading time after time with all the other shotgun users. I agree, all the sniper rifles are pretty balanced except for Thorn :)
