Sniping in pvp
I hate you all. But i give you all props. Sniping is uber hard, for me at least. Lol.
Side note- we all can agree that thorn is a little op...right?

So as of Monday after getting home from work i started my sniper training :). And to my surprise, i did better than i thought i did :).
Today my traning will continue....

Just wanted other snipers opinions, is it bad to feel dissapointed for not gettong head shots? And having to try to get the kill with body shots?

With that said, I was comfortable with my longbow until a Silvered Boudica dropped from the crucible It's a blue weapon but it has short gaze, clown cartridge and snap shot on it so I tried it out Now I love it. Good specs as well Try different ones and experiment and you might do better with one opposed to another

3 RepliesU can try using a sniper in battlefield & cod, if u do well with those there then sniping in destiny becomes easy mode While in movement, headshot hitboxes get bigger for some weird reason too which is weird Learn where to aim at in common areas to be at head level, then simply adjust by strafing left & right. Very easy to learn to do that

the thorn burn is definitely OP, they went a little over board with the buff. the burn damage is silly.

Goto VOG, get Praedyths Revenge, use ambush scope, profit.

4 RepliesI recommend bumping the sensitivity to 4, also to use LDR or Crossbow with an Ambush scope. Using a high rate of fire sniper will teach you to just go for two body shots, with occasional headshots, while the low fire rate, high impact snipers make you go for headshots and can still one shot hunters using Blade Dancer and people with overshields.

Sniping is made easier with Ice Breaker, P&T or the LDR 5001 because if you use Weapons of Light on the Titan defender Ward of Dawn you get 1 hit kills anywhere on the body. Have fun!

1 ReplyHey man, I used to not snipe but have started recently in pvp and feel like I'm pretty good at it. I'll give you what I think are my best two tips for getting good sniper accuracy and a good kdr. - I usually start destiny by doing a little pve before I play pvp. I like to run an auto and ice breaker in pve. I think this has a big impact for when I switch to pvp due to recoil. Autos and ice breaker have a lot of recoil and when I switch to red death and praydeths revenge for pvp they just feel a lot easier to handle. - my second tip is simple too. Know which maps to snipe on and which maps to use a shotgun. maps with a lot of close quarters aren't good to snipe on such as firebase Delphi and asylum. You will end up getting trapped in a corner. Don't force sniping. These are just how I personally like to play. I hope they can help you a little bit.

1 ReplyStart using high fire rate snipers. More forgiving if you miss the first shot. Praedyths revenge or prudence 2 are the top two choices.
