possible to get thorn if u suck at Pvp??
I have lots of void weapons. The problem is the resetting of progress upon a death. Should I just camp and be a douch until I get it?? Any tips??
Edit: everyone has offered surprisingly helpful tips. I didn't think I would ever come close but I'm at 400 out of 500!! I hope to finish this up today. Wish me luck!!!! I'm on xbone if anyone wants to run into my void bullets lol
Edit 2. Getting pissed. Started playing now I'm at 391. This is so frustrating !!
Edit 3. Miraculously I did crucible part. Tried the strike. Had phogoth down to little health. Didn't know what to expect. A person joined at last minute and killed phogoth lol. Now I have to do strike again tomorrow!!!
Edit final: I got it!! Thanks for all the encouragement and tips!!!! U guys are great!! It is possible to get this weapon even if u suck at Pvp. I'm proof!!

It's not death resets it it just takes away a few pounts

I'm horrible at pvp but just finished with my hunter. Won't be playing crucible again. It's possible.

Get 2 friends go to rumble and kill them repeatedly. It's amazing how fast those numbers climb

1 ReplyIt's possible. Camp and be a douche. PVP has always had it's fair share of whinning and complaining about secondary weapons, campers, Thorn, supers, other people moving, etc. Get your kills whoever you can. It's not a reset on death as it's +5 kill, +3 Assist, -2 Death. Just keep shooting people! Play smart, camp, don't run like you're insane and play control to stay with your team =) Good luck! You can do it!

Use your voidwalker or bubble class... Its void kills not only void weapon kills

My current KD is .93 but that's only been since the last and 2nd last Iron Banner because I was just playing safe. I've had a few cracking games also, but my first ever Thorn took me an awful long time because I kept having a bad run and trying to hard. Patience will help and maybe a few good team mates

Edited by TGS_Ringo: 3/29/2015 4:46:14 PMIt's totally possible. My kd was 0.6 so I did the Bad Juju bounty instead. It went easier than I thought so gave the Thorn a go. If I struggled I would just give up. After an hour I had over 100 points and I realised I could do it. Took me roughly 4 hours on the end and it was stressful but I really wanted the Thorn. Camp B flag with a Swordbreaker. That's all I did.

2 RepliesI suck at PvP without my team. :( BUT I did the bounty legit and it was quite okay. I am a hunter. No void focus, what does not make it any easier. Try to collect any void guns, like word of Crota, sword breaker and truth. This should be the best. Then it's easy ( and I don't care if anybody tries to offend me here ) to just do control matches and stay cool, waiting at one of the spots you control. Just hide, it'll be okay. Or do it like I did it: run with your team members shooting at everyone in front of you. The average will be +void kills in the end, doesn't matter if it takes a bit longer or not. If you need help with the strike afterwards, I can help you, if you like. Just pm me or add me with message, so that I know who you are. GT like above for PS4.

3 RepliesYes, camp. Be a douche. Run from fights. Assists count, so spray crowds with bullets and flee. It's better to stay alive with a few kills than lose points.

I'm not good at PVP- about 0.85 KD I did it as a hunter with no void primary. I used a blue fusion rifle and a vender MG Harms Way.

Void fusion rifle. If you maintain a .5 K/D or better, you'll get it. If you aren't a hunter use your grenades / melee

Most people just boost it with friends in Rumble nowadays, I had to use a Fusion Rifle

Use a void subclass and a void shotgun and machine gun and hide in a corner

2 RepliesStay back and don't go for aggressive unnecessary kills. I've heard skirmish and rumble are good ways also if you can stick back. If youre using a lock or titan, all their void kills with abilities count. If you have all void weapons (including primary) I think you only have to keep your k/d above .7 and it stays positive for you. Good luck tho

Wait till iron banner. The good players will be on there so quality of players will drop in normal crucible. Just stick in a group and try not to isolate yourself. Best of luck.
