Exotic Upgrades-The 2 middle rows of exotics in Xûr's inventory. Those are upgrading old exotics. By old, I mean exotics that do old max damage, I.e. 300 max damage, whilst the new exotics do 331 damage. Equipping an exotic and then proceeding to 'buy' the upgrade he offers will reset all your exotic's stats. If you do this with an old 300 exotic, it will also do the new peak of 331, but doing this with a 331 exotic will reset the exotic with no change except maybe upgrade material. It is not recommended to do this with a maxed out exotic that you acquired after the DLC, as you will lose all progress with no gain. Hope this helps guardian.
