No one here knows greek gods
:p. That's what I compare the hive gods to.
Example. The hive have many gods. Like the Greeks. Crota Is like the god of war. The son of the king of the gods. But nope they just compare him to Jesus because they think the hive only have one god.
This is comparing the hive gods to the greek.
Orxy is the king of the gods. So orxy = zeus
Crota is the god of war. Crota = Ares
I'm just using greek an example.

Wouldn't oryx be a Titan in Greek mythology considering that crota is his son and by that logic crota would also have 2 more sons ontop of oryx giving us another two raids because all three are just as powerful as each other. But the three sons would have to team up to kill oryx but because we have already killed crota your logic doesn't fit

Just a guess Edit: the vex are mythological creatures more specifically greek such as the goblins, minotaurs, cyclops, hydras, and gorgons and the shield is called the aegis shield

"The hive have seen thousands of worlds taken by the darkness, and the've been seeding the earth for centuries, waiting for their gods to return" -Dinklebot Interestingly that line makes me think that the hive aren't the darkness, or even aligned with it, more like they are running from it. And their actions suggest they "feed" off the light of the traveler, suggesting they may of been a race that had once prospered under it, but eventually became hyper dependent on it.

Damn dude for real? Have you played VoG? Kabr is almost Perseus. Gorgons, Minotaurs, Hydras, Harpies? The Aegis was Athena's shield. The Hive have Gods, but the Vex ARE Gods. The are an omniscient organism channeled through machinery in a realm outside of time. The Hive are more like an ancient empire of the dead. The Vex are the ones with Greek mythology twists

4 RepliesIf anything the vex are way more related to Greek and roman mythology than the hive. They have soldiers named after gorgons, goblins, minotaurs, cyclops, praetorian, and harpies. The two portal method in VoG is also somewhat related tonI think it was Janus, the god(s) of decisions and referred to as two seperate doors, two separate choices. I believe there was also a God for time and spice, although I forget their name.
