Lots of girls play, and some guys are annoying...
Okay don't think I'm some stupid feminist extremist or something crazy, I've just realized that some guys can be complete d*cks when they find out you're a girl and are joining their game. Not most, but some. Most of the games I join are great, but sometimes there's just that one guy that is constantly being a d*uche. If you're that d*uche, this is for you.
What NOT to do when a girl joins your game:
1) accuse them of being the reason your team will lose.
2) completely ignore them when they suggest a different technique for the boss, crucible, etc. even if it's better.
3) kick them after their first death even after everyone else has died several times.
4) blame them for the lag, even though everyone's red-barring.
5) ask them for nudes.
6) constantly talk sh*t about their boyfriend when he's not in the party.
7) assume they have no idea what they're doing.
What TO do when a girl joins your game:
1) "hey what's up, hard raid? Alright cool sent you an invite, so anyways back to what I was saying..."
Edit: this is my second account. Swedishmeow is my first. I am an experience d player, I do know what I'm doing. The problem I have is not when people say "you died you can't play with us" it's when they say "you're a girl you can't play with us". The people I'm referring to don't care about stats, as far as they see it if you're a girl you suck no matter what. Anyways, I'm done with this post now, seeing as many people posting are just ignorant. Off to play destiny. Later

1 ReplyPeople are assholes and most of destiny's community is retarded. Play a better game or find a nice clan. I am on ps4 if you want to raid or do weekly's. I could recommend ffxiv it is an amazing game and the community is so much nicer than this one. You could try if you feel like quitting. The thing is you cannot change bad people and destiny is full of them

2 RepliesI believe the fact you have experienced sexism however I would love to listen in on ALL your other raids where you had grapes hand fed to you because you were a female. I'm not being a douche but I know for a fact every raid I have been in where there was a female the rest of the raid flirted, tried to act "cool" (lol), and gave the utmost sympathy. I don't care if your girl, guy, or tran sexual if you suck I'm going to call you out but I will give you another chance. Enjoy being the 1% and enjoy the perks you receive being such and don't QQ about the other shit everyone deals with all the time Rant over

Usually, all the other guys are pretty chill with it, although, you can sense a definite change in how they talk and behave. They were definitely far more kind and engaging towards her. None of them were trying to pick her up, though. That would have been really awkward to have to sit through. I guess that this 'douche' that you are talking about is trying so hard to not come across as a white knight, that he ends up becoming an exclusionary ass. All you can do is leave by that point. There are a lot of other open fireteams that will happily take one more on out there.

About 10 minutes into the game she says "Are all you guys married?" And my response was how did you know? She replied "Because none of you are hitting on me." The other random was a pretty cool guy and the 4 of us played a few games together and we ended adding everyone as friends. It was nice I always had some good people to play with when I played that game

To be honest, there's always that one douche fireteam leader. Whether you're a guy or a girl. Which is why i always make sure i'm the fireteam leader. If there's a dude harassing someone after i've asked them to stop i simply boot them. Whether it's a guy "flirting" with a girl. Or simply a guy being an ass.

Hell if I could get more women to raid with we'd probably do a lot better.. The women I've raided with and done crucible with tend to do much better than the guys.. Maybe cause they're not trying to prove anything? Idk.

To be honest, the girls that I've raided with have been hell better than most of the guys but frankly I don't care who I play with, just enjoying the game.

All your "What not to do's" can be applied to anyone, male or female. Don't get mad at me, I'm just calling it how it was stated and I WILL NOT take your [b]EDIT[/b] into account as it is a change after your original post.

I always have raid players that quit, I treat my teammates with respect even if they suck because I need to hold the team from quitting. Even though i've only raided twice this is a big problem for me.

I've only played with a couple, and in two out of three cases, the guys acted perfectly kind and treated her like any other player. In the third they were douches, I tried to make her welcome, she left anyway(couldn't blame her) and I left right afterwards so I could find a new, less douchey team.

I must say I've only come across a handful of women playing Destiny but one of them and myself have become good friends and game together quite often, not only in Destiny. People show respect, they'll get it. Works both ways.
