Husk of the Pit is myth
I have killed over 600 hundred Blades of Crota (611 to be exact) and still have yet to receive one. Fist of Crota, Earth missions and patrol, Moon missions and patrol, you name it, I've tried it. I have killed many across all three characters and have yet to even see someone receive one. I have come to the point of wanting this so bad that I deleted a charter and started a new one. I am so desperate as Nechrochasm is the only exotic I'm missing and I have the Crux of Crota and an Embalming orb. I have started to believe it is nothing but a cruel inside joke. Rant over.
Edit: 619 now, thanks to all the people that wish they could give me theirs, I would gladly trade a Gjallarhorn for one.
Edit: After this I guess I will just keep count of how many I have until I get it and edit it every week and then I will be done, currently at 621.
Edit: I am aware that Nechrochasm is complete shit but think, if you were only missing one exotic you would try too.
Edit: I think it's been a week or so and now I'm at 631. But hey Xur is selling don't touch mes this week so I'm okay.
Edit: I know no one probably cares anymore but I will update this to keep what thin strand of sanity I have left from tearing, 663 and still nothing but shitloads of black wax idols, heavy synths all round my boys!

I got mine the day the hotfix enabled the Husk to drop. Farmed Fist of Crota 10-12 times and it dropped, took it right to the moon and WOKE THE HIVE to level it and it sat in my vault for a couple of weeks until I leveled Eris. It's now a fully leveled Eidelons Ally, and now that I have my first hard mode Crota kill under my belt here's hoping the crux drops next week.

That sucks. I've gotten 11..... I deleted eidolon ally because it was garbage and not worth the time to upgrade it. And when I get crux, I'm deleting that too.

1 ReplyDon't worry dude. Necrochasm is useless. Trust me. I have one for collection sake but that's it. For arc related weapons, there are plenty of fish on the market that are better primary or other.

I felt your pain early on as I didn't get it for ages. Now I know how crap they are, I can't get rid of the blasted things. I kept two and dismantle any I come across.

I gave up on the husk back in early February. I went around purposely killing blades and never got a single husk. -blam!- it. Oh well. Fast forward to last week. I return to the tower to cash in some bounties and found a husk at the post master. 2 days later on a different character the exact same thing happened. Now I have 2. Funny thing is, both times I don't recall killing a blade at all. I'm assuming I was in the vicinity when someone else dropped a knight and I ended up with the husk. You've got to give up and forget about it. Only then will RnG bless you with what you seek.

3 RepliesHow do you find out how many blades you've killed? I've yet to have a husk drop for me, meanwhile my boyfriend has had about 8 drop for him so far.

1 ReplyI seem to get them on Earth, right where you start the patrol missions in Cosmodrome, sometimes a Blade will spawn in the underground subway (where the 3 Hive majors are) I've gotten 3 husks of pits from the blades in that location, killed hundreds of them in other locations, never gotten a husk from anywhere but on earth in that subway. I'm sure its just coincidence, though
