Iron Banner is full of idiots
I am tired of carrying people in games. The constant pain of collecting medallions over and over again due to useless scrubs. Now, I don't profess to be amazing at PvP as it isn't my sole focus, but I can usually hold my own in a match. What I am finding is the sheer number of clueless -blam!-s who run about capping the nearest point, or rock a 279 damage weapon. Save that shit for normal PvP, don't roll with crap gear, stick to the guns you are proficient with.
Under level 30? Don't bother mate, stick to normal PvP. Don't be afraid to step out of your starting area and actually go on the offensive, or maybe cap B for once? That tent you've pitched in the bushes on Venus isn't helpful. Don't sit at the back of the map with a sniper rifle in the same spot every game and not get a single cap, I shouldn't have to carry you, and if you are near a cliff edge understand this; I will push you off. See that heavy ammo spawn? It isn't all about you, wait for your team to get to you unless the enemy are close.
Basic map knowledge. Most people seem to be about as useful as a chocolate fireguard in this department. Learn the maps, the fastest routes and where the bottlenecks are. You are no good to a team if you don't go out and explore the maps. Use your grenade to funnel players down a different path, and for -blam!-s sake as a Warlock stop using Fireborn. Got a fresh piece of gear from Xur or the Nighfall with no upgrades unlocked? Take that shit elsewhere my friends, Iron Banner isn't the place to make a fashion statement. I know your Praxic Fire looks pretty cool but you don't have the unique upgrade unlocked so GTFO!

8 RepliesIron banner is so shit its unreal.. I switched it on thinking yeah I'll go for the Helmet on all 3 characters... Won the first game despite the lag and excessive use of thorns and shotguns, every single game after that I either lost or left for two reasons.. Matchmade on to a team losing by up to 10000 points or lag. So many times I've been killed by the thorn firing like the last word, and today on blind watch I spawned at A and got sniped by the thorn from the veranda above C. Instantly left. I thought people were just whining about weapons in pvp, but today, my first pvp play after patch just proves bungie aren't very good when it comes to nerfs and buffs

We can only pray that bungie aren't dumb enough to launch trials of osiris on servers that bad. They need dedicated ones otherwise it's just going to be another epic fail just like tdb dlc has been

I'm not the greatest pvp player by far but I can hold my own and am in top 15 percent for win/loss ratio while playing with randoms 90 percent of the time, but everything you said is exactly what had me extremely frustrated. All that and playing full fire teams that are red barring while I'm green barring

2 RepliesThe main problem is that only about 50% of PvP oriented players understand how to win Control and during Iron Banner you get to throw the PvE masses on top of that. I wish I had a group of friends to team up with, but none of mine play Destiny anymore. It's so frustrating trying to go solo with a bunch of retards and -blam!-ups.

OP YOU ARE RIGHT. IT is statistically impossible to get matched with scrubs as many times as I have. Capping a zone is worth 75 pts and neutralizing it give u 25 pts, a kill is worth 100 why would you sit there and watch me cap zone b instead of capping it with me

TL/DR. But I can tell you randoms (blue berries) cap every -blam!-ing point they shouldn't. I Lost three games last night because of one guy flipping spawns.

I'm tired of losing when I'm giving it my all and my team is a bunch of pve players that just give them kills and eventually I lose. Ice lost 6 in a row now it's so damn frustrating.
