Stop giving us Ascendant materials from legendary engrams
Legendary engram? What's that? Oooo, yeah, I've seen it like a month ago, that purple little thingy that always turns to shards or energies.
Stop giving us obsolete materials. We don't need ascendant materials. We don't want them. If you made Vog 32 hard, then maybe. This way, they are obsolete. Give us weapons or armors from engrams only. Even with a bad roll, at least we'll have more chances for some weapons with a good roll. Anyone feels the same?
Edit : For better clarity, and for the people who need materials, you will get them anyway -
If you get a weapon from weapon engram, if you don't like it - dismantle it and you will get your energies anyways. If you put some effort into making that weapon upgradable, not upgraded, when you dismantle it, you will get 5-6 energies. So anyway around, it's better to get stuff instead just materials, because you will get materials for sure if you dont like the stuff you got.

They aren't really useless. If you want to be the first to level 33 you will need lots. If you want to level your faction or Vanguard weapons you need them. I just hate that legendary engrams give you 2. I am with you there. At least give us 5-10.

Im sure you werent crying about it when that purple turned into an exotic. I mean they already changed the engram system once. Just be thankful your purples dont turn into blues half the time anymore....

2 RepliesI always assumed when you get materials from a engram it meant it was an item you already had. Just keep all your legendary engrams in the vault and cash them in after the next DLC so you get new stuff.

Agreed. Just give us the weapon or armor, then let us decide if we want to dismantle for materials.

They may not be obsolete though. I'm hoping the house of wolves will utilise both types of energies and shards so for example trade in 5 of each energy for one new upgrade material for the wolves weapons and armour from the new vendor lol

STRONG AGREE. I've gotten a bunch of legendary engrams this week and almost all of them have resulted in disappointment.

Absolutely agree with you. I seem to have this happen far too often. Had two Special Weapon Legendaries in the same day and both turned into energies. Much better to have the option to dismantle an item ourselves. A few simple upgrades and we would get more than 2 anyway. Let blue engrams occasionally turn into energies and leave the Legendaries as real Legendaries.

Remember the days when legendary egrams turned into blue weapons? Many players quit destiny at that time and never came back.

3 RepliesOk so people don't want ascendant mats from engrams, nightfall, raids, strikes, crucible, venders, dismantling items, Xur, the Tooth Fairy, Vangaurd, factions, the shipwrights, Santa Claus, or the Abominable Snowman. as some one who still needs like 24 shards and 18 energies, where did you people get this surplus of ascendant mats?

yeah because if you get a bad roll on a weapon youre going to turn it into energy anyway. Same goes for armor that you dont need. Its really not exciting getting legendary engrams anymore.
