Anyone else max weapons just because....
Often I find myself using certain guns just to max them out not because I will use them but because it is satisfying to see that slight Golden outline on the gun. Like even guns I only use in the crucible where those final 3 upgrades are useless, I find myself upgrading them because seeing a green bar below my guns annoys me.
Edit 1: Black Hammer is the Bane of my Days because Bungie removed hive disruptor perk and it does not appear as maxed
Edit 2: wow guys we're trending! seems likes I am not the only one who gets annoyed by this.

1 ReplyEvery exotic! After I max Suros and finish universal remote, I'll even go back to (gulp) No Land Beyond..... But, I also check light switches 3 times and lock and re-lock my front door 3 times..... Possible mental illness.

Yes, I am currently maxing all exotic weapons. I have all x box exotics and the only ones I don't have maxed so far are: universal remote Pocket infinity Invective Hardlight I know there's no "good" reason for maxing guns I will never use, however, I love playing this game AND I need some goal to shoot for. Maxing exotics may be a bad goal, but it's a goal nonetheless lol.

i max them out because there is nothing else to do. there should be NO weapon leveling. its just a time waster.

I've upgraded some heavies just for the heck of it. I look at it this way, if you're going to be constantly turning in bounties and getting XP, you might as well use it on weapons that aren't upgraded.
