Anyone else max weapons just because....
Often I find myself using certain guns just to max them out not because I will use them but because it is satisfying to see that slight Golden outline on the gun. Like even guns I only use in the crucible where those final 3 upgrades are useless, I find myself upgrading them because seeing a green bar below my guns annoys me.
Edit 1: Black Hammer is the Bane of my Days because Bungie removed hive disruptor perk and it does not appear as maxed
Edit 2: wow guys we're trending! seems likes I am not the only one who gets annoyed by this.

I must have every weapon maxed out

Every one of them get maxed out and swapped. I go back later to finish them with materials unless it's a truly game changing weapon like Gally, IB, Black Hammer, Etc.

I do that too, I'm trying to finish all the legendary weapons you can get in the tower rn

Necrochasm too, it appears as not maxed when it is, and there's no gold line around it. I hate that so much

I own every exotic armour and weapon on ps4 and the only armour not maxed is my no back up plans and the only weapon is NLB lol

I never turn in bounties without applying the XP to a weapon that needs leveling, and if it's good enough that I kept it then it's good enough to max out. I have a large backlog of legendaries and exotics that I'm slowly working through.

1 ReplyI'm terrible for maxing weapons, if I think I'm gonna use it in any capacity whatsoever I just have to max it out. Those last few nodes after the second perk aren't all that important I'm pretty certain of that too. I raid with a dude who barely maxes his past 300 and he always does fine

I've maxed out every single exotic just because. Including NLB and Dragons breath. All exotic armor even though I really don't use most of them.

I do. In most cases I vault my maxed weapons and just work on everything else. It's my own little mini game because there's nothing else to do in destiny.

I do but it's a BAD thing to do in destiny, every DLC we will get our progress taken away somehow. They said they don't want to do that to us again but I believe whole heartedly it's part of the plan to wipe progress in the hopes of creating some instant "replay value" and game longevity. it's a way to force us to play more that requires zilch work and work is Bungie's nemesis

In fact, I'm traumatized daily because even though I have fully maxed my black hammer, it is glitched and the gold outline doesn't show :( It makes me so twitchy that on bad days I consider breaking it down. Unless I need a specific burn, I typically use the same three weapons all the time. I'm boring that way.

This is my Destiny OCD. If I actually think it's worth keeping (not always a hard bar to meet) I find I spend the next 2-3 days using it like mad, just to max it, then drop it like a bad habit into my Vault, never to rise from the depths again. Example? Dragon's Breath. -.-'
