Bump

A level 32 on a raid attempt a few weeks ago was treating everyone like crap in a run at VoG, funny thing was when we all died a Lvl 29 warlock self revived and kept us from having to restart the confluxes. We all thanked him and the 32 just sighed, then when we got to Atheon he went on a rant about skill and we all left his fireteam, he sounded so depressed and kept sighing and it really killed the mood so one by one we all trickled away. When a game takes a toll on your emotional stability, Mr 32, take a break from the damn game.

Honestly I laugh at the low levels I see on patrol sometimes, makes me think back to when I first got the game and phogoth kicked my teeth in as a lvl 11 on a lvl 12 strike lol sad thing is I was the highest one on my fireteam for that fight too XD or the moments when id run into a random cave on patrol and instead of a level the enemies just had question marks! I came into work and we'd discuss some kind of strategy to attempt to take them down. Or back before I knew what a kill the target public event was lol. We all started in the same place, low level and clueless and making it to 31 is nothing to sneeze at and certainly doesn't make you a "noob".

It's fun for those who make it fun. Those who go into a Raid or Nightfall hunting a specific item are only setting themselves up for failure and disappointment. Play the game for the sake of enjoyment and you'll have a good time and maybe gain a friend or two.

Some inspiration from a fellow (former) lvl 31. Heck - I'm still a 31 at heart!!!!!!! Copied from a post I made earlier. First off, thanks to the following DoD Guardians: snow017 Vlad_69 BERBERICK- Shortbus002 HoMeWrEcKeR05 Zblur il_drago_real If this is TL:DR, skip to bottom. Well, last night was my best Destiny night to date. Went in thinking to just get a few more radiant shards to level some gear and have some fun. Saw that most people were already involved in raids, mostly VoG. Then noticed that Snow was in CE all by himself, so I decided to see what was up. He was at Crota trying to solo him. He invited me to watch. We worked on him for a while, getting him down to 25% a few times. But, one thing or another always seemed to get us. He asked if I'd ever done CE on Hard. Nope - never even been in there beyond grabbing that first chest and trying (very unsuccessfully) to solo the lamps. So, we went into Crota on Hard. While I was off swapping characters and grabbing the right gear, he started on the lamps. By the time I joined back, he was already to the bridge and it was spawning. Of course, he made it across. Upon completion, I received the Oversoul Edict. Onto the Bridge. I had just perfected (or close) my solo jump across the chasm, so I did that while Snow got up on the tower. We did your basic "me crouch behind the lamp while he snipes the ogres" thing. I received Abyss Defiant. We tried the Shrieker hall once, and didn't make it. Then Vlad and Homewrecker joined up. We made the gate on the first try and I got some shards. Onto what I believe is the hardest part of the entire raid - Ir Yut. By now, we had a full raid team, since Berberick and Shortbus had joined us. We went over the strategy for the stage (5ppl on left, 1 on right, take down left wizard and shrieker, repeat on right, everyone concentrate on knights for 5-10 seconds while shrieker goes down, everyone inside right to kill Ir Yut). Not only did we get her on the first try, but no one died! After clearing ads, got some shards. Finally - Crota. Berberick was going to run sword. Vlad was assigned to distract the boomers (awesome strategy I've never heard of - ask me about it if you are interested). The other 4 of us went to middle to hit Crota. We ended up wiping a few times from random boomer hits, Crota not playing nice and starting to dance around tracking rockets, etc. Vlad and Snow had to leave, so we picked up Zblur and Drago. And, it was on. Homewrecker went to distract boomers and Berberick was still running sword. Few more attempts and we make it past the ogres. This was it. One more sword, and we have him, I said to myself. From somewhere, I hear someone say "stay away from the windows, or else the thrall will get you through it." First down goes like clockwork. Now he's enraged. We unleash the second volley of rockets, and I only see 3 go out (mine included). Uh oh - so I fire my last rocket that's Hungry for Crota. No sooner do I fire, than I hear that "whooshing" noise and I'm dead. Thrall got me through the glass. Dammit - so close . . . But, wait - Crota is down!!! I never saw the last sword hits, as the camera automatically switched to view the thrall that killed me. But the screen suddenly goes from Oversoul Red, to pretty green again. And I see the typical stream of rewards scrolling across the screen. I got Word of Crota, Glowhoo, and No Land Beyond. We all give the usual congratulations. Someone asks me if I'd ever beaten Crota before on Hard. I had to confess that not only was it my first time beating him . . . and not only was it my first time even seeing him . . . it was my first time ever going through the entire raid on Hard. Looking at the stats, I know that I was carried somewhat. But, I only died 3 times in the whole raid through my stupidity. The other times were wipes or purposefully killing myself. As an epilogue, we all go back to the tower. When we get there, I realize that I have one more surprise in store for these guys. I tell everyone to gather around and watch my nametag above my head. I go into my chestpiece and upgrade those last 2 slots that were awaiting enough shards. Boom - now I'm a 32 (first character to get this level)! Again - Thanks to all those who helped. It was so much fun!! TL:DR - Went into CE Hard for the first time last night. Made it all the way through in under 2 hours (first 3 sections with only 2-3 people!). Beat Crota. Achieved level 32 rank. Received Oversoul Edict, Abyss Defiant, Relentless Harness (3rd one), Word of Crota, Glowhoo (woohoo!), and No Land Beyond. All-in-all, the best night of Destiny that I've had yet (accomplishment-wise, that is).

It took me a while with my hunter but at least it finally got me raiding. Now just got to finish my 31 titan and level 3 warlock. Don't know why I didn't make more characters sooner. Congrats on your 32

It is a great feeling getting to 32. Another great feeling after that is when you can complete the full set of raid armor so that no matter what exotic you want to equip, or if you don't want to use one at all, you're still 32.

Just got shards to go. I'll be there soon! Am looking forward to it. I've never been max level on a game like this before.

I just completed my last 32 yesterday and now have all 3 of my characters at 32. There are so many reasons that people are still grinding to get the brass ring. And, I get that doing the raids can be intimidating. You don't want to be the person to bring the team down because you're inexperienced. But, regardless of all the 32 elitists that I've seen on the forums, I've also seen a fair share of 32s that also want to help people. I am one of them. My GT is shivers316. I'm on Xbox One. I'm online fairly often and, if I have the time, I have no problem being patient and helping some inexperienced players through the raid.

I'm looking forward to it. Probably when House of Wolves comes out.

I just need/upgrade Unyielding Casque to become 32. It's so close.
