"Kick him, he doesn't have Gally"
I've ran sword on hard mode quite a bit. And I've joined a lot of games where they desperately need a swordbearer because they're all too afraid to put down their precious gjallarhorns and just try it. I've put about 800 hours into this game and have yet to drop a Gally, or even a Hunger. I'm still rocking a tracking Admonisher III. So it kinda makes me angry when I join a game and I hear "Kick him, he doesn't have Gjallarhorn.", "Nah it's okay he's running sword."
I've started immediately leaving games that pull this shit. You don't even need 1 Gjallarhorn to take down Crota. I admit, I've been in games where everyone is using one, and it makes it pretty damn easy to down him 3 times in one go. But it is absolutely not necessary. I joined a group of guys that warned me that they were gonna use nothing but Dragonsbreath to test the effectiveness vs gally and I was all for it. We killed him first try, no wipes. That's faster than most of the runs I get in with Gally elitists. I also helped out a group of friends who had freshly made 32, but none of them had any tracking rockets, or even exotic rockets. One guy only had a blue rocket. I told them we were gonna get it done, and told everybody to rock Ice Breaker. 3rd wipe in, we beat him, and 2 of them got Gally. One of the best moments I've had in this game to be honest.
Just stop being tools about a game ran by an RNG and help out the people that haven't been as lucky as you are.

5 RepliesThis. I have zero, ZERO tracking launchers, yet I'm somehow wearing my glowhoo without one. I'd love a tracking launcher but until I get one, song of ir yut and dragon's breath have done just fine.

OP is wise. Dragons breath isnt as bad a launcher as people make out. I use a tracking valedictorian as i am usually the guy that puts a titan bubble near the boomers to aggro them, but i like to also fire rockets but dont have much time to aim so tracking is beneficial.

1 ReplyI got kicked Bcuz I had truth on.. I'm the Swordbearer lol.. 5 mins later I got invited back in. I do have a Ghorn but when I got invited I was leveling up my truth and one guy said "he doesn't have a Ghorn, kick him". I was like " you guys just booted me" they said " nah Man U got disconnected " I said "you do know it tells u when u get booted right?" LMFAO.

I know how you feel, my friend invited me to Crotas Hard and the leader was like, I found a 6th guy. Then my friend was like we already have a 6th. Then the leader was like well this guy has Gjallarhorn. Then my friend is like well my friend (me) is 32. I ultimately leave and tell my friend to tell the leader to get some skill first before inviting me

It may not be necessary, but you cant argue with the timing. I run sword quite a bit and the most important things are not being dead and taking Crota down. Outside of that, it really isnt that hard.

I have ghorn but only got it 2 weeks ago. I done crota hard with everyone having a mix of crucibal/vanguard rocket launcher with tracking and other having HoC. We had zero problem taking down crota. Took 4 tries but the game was being buggy. When I look for people I just ask for tracking.

Agree! Pisses me off when I join people and I get tokd, no gal or ice breaker max? Nah get someone else. You don't need it. Me and my brother 2 person the raid the other day. Without either. So meh

Yeah Gally makes it quicker but primaries, secondaries, and hell other rocket launchers can do the job as well and if there is five of you (since sword bearer focuses on wielding sword) then you don't need everyone to have a gally. Yeah I have one but I'm not going to go and kick other players if they don't have it.
