I just ran sword on Crota's end.
My heart was racing.
Im pretty sure all Swordbearers know what I'm talking about.
Edit 1- We are Trending, Swordbearers
Keep it up
Edit 2- Over 500 swordbearers were nervous their first time. Tell your story about losing your Crota virginity
You can also use this to find a Swordbearer during crota
-
I've killed Crota 3-4 times and going up there still scares me
-
Lol I'm the first one to comment on this tread... so wierd cause I hate this tread.
-
As a hunter in a group of Titans and warlocks I new I was swordbearer so after Crota went down I just spammed RT and I hid so by the time he down again i supercharged not once but twice and we finished the raid
-
1 ReplyI was nervous in the first attempts, when crota was almost dead I forgot to get invisible
-
Lmao "Crota virginity"
-
1 ReplyYou have no idea about the amount of friend requests you get after flawlessly running sword for random teams on the forums. :P it's nuts. I have 9 pages of Destiny "friends" hahaha and those are only the ones I accepted.
-
Always love running sword. It's too much fun doing the raid!
-
Its nerve racking doing it first time on hard. I was shakey because my team depended on me. After some wipes, we got him. It wad glorious. Made some new friends to play with regularly.
-
I don't get nervous as much as an adrenaline rush, but there's nothing worse than being the only one willing to step up and do sword, then getting ragged on when it doesn't go smoothly. Yes, sometimes the sword disappears, or Crota gets up too fast, or goes down too slowly, or boomers get you, or any other random reason it doesn't work...if nobody else is willing to step up then please cut some slack!!!
-
Standing invis right in front of crota watching as your teammates can't get his shield down... Then your invis runs out and you get smashed
-
Same here, I did it my first time at level 31 on December 9th, the day The Dark Below dropped.
-
I lost my swordbearing virginity earlier this week. It is a little nerve-wracking, but very rewarding
-
Ive only had a couple goes at it for the last few of weeks and I still get nervous. I can kill crota on normal in 3 drops every time but haven't got the first kill yet on hard because of the silly mistakes caused by nerves.
-
I used to experience this when beating Crota on hard and normal as sword bearer was a huge achievement, but now I have lost the feeling.
-
Definitely one of the few situations where I get a rush in destiny. I came close to that feeling when I was last man standing in nightfall and rushed omnigul for a kill with my fist of havoc lol. That felt good too.
-
When I have a competent team and we do it on first try is when my heart races as a swordbearer. But if my team requires a couple wipes, then it's just a normal Crota kill.
-
Omg yes anyone who hasn't run the sword will never understand
-
Umm the first time I ran sword on crota hard it took me 27 tries but when I did it I almost passed out
-
Love the feeling. It's the only exciting bit of that raid. It's similar to relic holding in VOG
-
Awesome feeling. I was actually sad when I deleted my 2nd Hunter because I knew I would only be running sword once a week now.
-
First time I ran the sword on hard, I didn't mean to but I engaged crota on the second sword and after that it took like 15 more times to down him lol
-
I actually wasn't that nervous on my hunter the 1st time I ran it normal or hard but my warlock was a totally different story I felt like my heart was in my throat and could barely tell the team when to hit crota
-
Yes! Even though I've ran the sword so many times... I still have this feeling especially on hard mode.
-
On normal when I first did it i wasn't but on hard waiting for crota to go back mid on that last run, I was petrified I was gonna -blam!- up
-
I actually wasn't nervous the first time I did it.
-
My fingers always go cold when it's the last sword.
