30 RepliesCovenant - based on firepower The Vex seem to want to use and inhabit planets (for whatever their purposes are) and the Covenant straight "glass" planets. In a battle, I would take the Covenant, in a long War, I would take the Vex (time travel)
-
Is the covenant those midgets from willy wonka?
-
Vex have time travel however the covenant glass planets and have much more fire power and battle tactics oh and I really wish the fallen devil walkers behaved like the scarebs from halo 3 were they actually moved around the map come on bungie

Cabal vs. Covenant?

Covenant

13 RepliesA couple sangheili would wipe out an army of vex. Most vex will break in half from a single precision shot and they walk super slow. Sangheili's are fast have powerful energy swords and take more than 1 shot to kill. The vex might have minotaurs, but a lekgolo could easily wipe them out.
-
2 RepliesCovenant. No contest . What about hive vs the flood ? I think flood also due to the taking over dead host bodies to create more
-
1 ReplyFor the sake of fairness, I'll ignore the Vex' ability to time travel, because that is one of the most OP possible powers to have. Covenant win.
-
4 RepliesPretty sure the minotaur alone would destroy the weak ass covenant
-
2 RepliesCovenant don't need ground troops to win. Lots and lots of glassing
-
1 ReplyIn another post like this; What if the covenant got a hold of the scarab gun? Yeah I'd run if I was a vex.
-
1 ReplyWhat era of Covenant? Unified (pre Halo 2) or post Halo 3 ?
-
To those who keep saying the "Vex would go back in time and eliminate the Covenant"; Assuming that the Vex actually could do something like that (highly unlikely since the lore seems to indicate they have only mastered time and space inside the Vault of Glass, and possibly the Black Garden, but the lores so fragmented that we dont really know for sure), you know where it would drop them? To the beginning of the Covenant; the very end of the San'Shyuum/Sangheili war. A war that had been going on for DECADES at least. The entire planet of Sanghilios (already very militarized and warrior-oriented) had been mobilized against the San'Shyuum, who were crusing around space in the FORERUNNER DREADNAUGHT they took from their homeworld. The same Dreadnaught that consistently wiped out Sangheili fleets and burned planets from orbit. The Vex would be EXTERMINATED.

Covenant. Wiping out of existence doesn't work. Guardians are still around and still kicking Atheon ass. Scarabs. Ghosts. Banshees. Wraiths. Brute vehicles. Energy swords. Needler rifles. Brute hammers. All more powerful than the Vex weapons we've seen so far.
-
1 ReplyCovenant. Saying the Vex would just erase you from time is illogical; if they could actually do that to their opponents then why haven't they done so to humanity? In actual combat, the Covenant would dominate the Vex. Sure, the Vex would be able to holdout in the Vault for a while; but they'd NEVER be able to beat the Covenant outside of it.

Covenant. Reason-many
-
4 RepliesHonestly as much as I would want the covenant to win, the vex if they wanted to could cut them out of time. That's what a the on has done an infinite number of times.
-
2 RepliesLore wise? The vex especially if they fought within the vault of glass... Game play wise outside the vault the vex would get wrecked
-
18 RepliesWhich is harder? Halo Legendary or VoG on HM? the answer to my question is the answer to yours as well.
-
1 ReplyThe covenant would (wait for it) glass the vault and shatter atheon.
-
1 ReplyThe Covenant could just go -blam!- off to another part of the galaxy and be pretty much fine. They have what most of the enemy factions in Destiny don't, a space faring fleet.
-
3 RepliesI'm surprised no one has said Cabal vs Covenant.
-
In the vault, vex, anywhere else covenant

Covenant*
