To me that makes a lot of sense to do so. And more vault space! At least 10 pages worth. It hurts whenever I have to break some armor or weapons down just to make space for something else.

In Beta and pre-release, you talked about the rarity and how elusive Exotics were going to be... What changed? Xür has now, somewhat recently, sold every Exotic (except Gjal)... I waited since release to get my Red Death only 2 days ago, only for Bungie to fold under the pressure and sell basically every Exotic now... It has nothibg to do with 'earning it' or whatever, but seriously... Firstly you make all VoG Raid armour useless with the release of Vendor Gear, now you're selling Exotics that hardcore players struggled to get (took me 500hrs to finally drop Red Death)... Where's your support for dedicated players? Wheres the reward for putting hours in if you're repeatedly going to hand it to people who put in no-where near as much? Xür is a godsend to those who don't play as much, selling better weapons then they'd get otherwise, but seriously selling every Exotic available? You really need to start supporting your more serious players, as they're the ones who are going to stay around...
