32s...Do you Run crota once on hard? or do you do normal first?
Im still very confused about the loot tables. I just completed normal with my hunter and got the gear i needed for 32.
With my warlocks who are 32, do you suggest hard mode only or both?

Different weapon loot tables on normal and hard.i normally play normal first and then hard.

Just run normal Crota. I don't have a group that I run with every week so it's very frustrating to run with randoms who don't necessarily know what they're doing.

1 ReplyI am still stuck running normal because I have yet to get the Hunger of Crota. Not that I need it because I do have three Gjallarhorns, but I still want HoC so I am still running normal first and then hard second.

2 RepliesCrota on Hard first till I get crux the. Probably just normals so I can get a 3rd Black Hammer.

Depends what your after. I recommend running hard mode upto the Crota checkpoint and then killing Crota on normal and then on hard seperately. If you run the raid on hard you get normal drops aswell as hard but from the hard loot table. When you get to Crota on hard he doesn't drop the special and heavy weapons, only the primaries so always do Crota on both difficulties

I've been trying to get a second and third HoC so I do normal and then hard now.

It is best to run Crota cp on normal first if you want Black Hammer. It can of course drop on hard with the combined loot tables, although the helmet has a higher chance to drop on hard which in turn, lowers your chance of getting Black Hammer.

Normal crota cp for the weapons. Then hard fresh completely for armor and shard( for my other warlock) and stuff

Also, I think by doing Crota on both modes you get 2 chances at an exotic. I don't believe you can get a double exotic roll by only doing Crota hard, the way you could by only doing atheon hard.

I usually solo up to the deathsinger on normal, then find at least one or two people to beat deathsinger and crota, and then find a team of 6 for hard mode crota only

I don't even do that horrendous raid anymore.

I only run hard, unless my usual fireteam needs normal. But, if you still need gear to get to 32, i would run Normal first, then hard.
