32s...Do you Run crota once on hard? or do you do normal first?
Im still very confused about the loot tables. I just completed normal with my hunter and got the gear i needed for 32.
With my warlocks who are 32, do you suggest hard mode only or both?

I run ur mum first then hard crota

Do you need any special/heavy weapons or shards/energies/armor if so run both if not then just run hard unless you do Crota on both for the double exotic chance ir yut is once either way.

1 ReplyOn my warlock and Titan I just run it once in hard. But my hunter I run first on normal then hard only because I'm trying to get the dang hunter helmet so I can use my ruin wings

All depends on whether or not you have everything from normal.

This is how the team and I run majority of crota on normal and hard. We start normal fresh, once we get finish the bridge and get the chest at the door we proceed to switch to our alts and grab the chest on all three characters (this way we don't have to worry about this on hard mode). We proceed to deathsinger and grab checkpoints (that way we don't have to do the lamps or bridge again). Once we have deathsinger checkpoint on normal we continue all three runs completing deathsinger and crota (reason we do this is because the loot for deathsinger is the same on normal as it is on hard mode and it gives us a better chance at getting the helms for the characters.) Bam normal mode done! We start hard mode fresh. Lamps, bridge, chest run, and deathsinger. Since we got the chest at the doors and the loot from deathsinger on normal mode, we don't have to worry about any of that nonsense. Now all we have to do is run crota three times. Run crota and grab checkpoint. Rinse and repeat. Hard mode done! Sidenote: just in case for those wondering why we don't run it fresh three times over is because we have all raid gear and weapons. This just gets crota done efficiently the way we do it. I'm not saying this is the best way but this is how my team completes crota. Last night we started at 8:30pm and finished at 11:56pm (not including the time we wasted for swit hang characters and grabbing checkpoints.) It would be awesome to get some feedback, and I recommend other teams to try this method if you just want a chance at exotic loot. Thanks xD

I have 3 32s, and I run normal first because I still need black hammer.

3 RepliesIf you need armor, normal. If you need 8 abyss defiants and over soul edicts, hard. Lol. Hard bridge and abyss are very generous with those two weapons.

With my 32 hunter, I just look for a group already on crota that needs a swordbearer and join them since all I've needed was the scout/handcannon/crux. Makes my life easier and people are usually grateful to have a solid swordbearer.

Wondering if i actually need to run hard first to get crux have u guys gotten it after doing reg first or do i need to do hard first

Since I have all exotics and raid weapons and gear I run it on normal and sometimes on hard to help the clan or a friend

If you still need normal mode weapons then do normal first. You'll have more possibilities overall doing normal first. The Vog is different. For vog hard only.

3 normal runs first getting both chests and getting the deathsinger out of the way. Then get a hard crota checkpoint and put it on all 3 of my characters, beat crota on hard 3 times, then do the abyss and bridge whenever.

In hard, you have a chance to get a primary weapon instead of the piece you need. If you do normal, there aren't primary weapons in the loot table so you have a better shot at randomly getting armor or special/heavy weapons. Granted you get that extra drop from hard but at least on the one drop your chances will be better.

I solo till crota than get people for crota then hard fresh [spoiler]usually don't get hard done due to lack of people[/spoiler]

I got crux and two WoC the first two times and only times I ran hard all the way through. Since, I only do abyss and bridge on hard.

Hard atm, once I have the crux never again.

Normal first for chests and need that Fusion Rifle. Then Hard mode for Crux. Once I have Crux no reason to do Hard mode
