So, the incective is now a dominating pve weapon..
I mean, three shotting even level 30 ultras with void shields?
I expect bungie to go back on this..

Edit: it's awesome that we all have shotgun fever!! My bad on the ultras being mentioned, I thought an ultra was an enemy with orange health bar and a shield!
This is 'trending'! It's so cool to see we all really like the shotgun buff!
I've spent my evening running strikes, trying to beat bosses with the invective! I die a few times, but that's the fun of diving right in, eh?!

I'm quite happy with the update and it made me change my opinion on shotguns in PvE. I love Invective, so I'll have to give it a try in ROC.

I loved invective pre patch! Too bad I just had to upgrade mine so I have to re level it.

It's made the psion flayers a joke. It now takes 2 minutes to kill all 3 and all the enemies besides them are ohk's except the colossus, which is 2. Takes about 9 shots with the found verdict to kill each flayer, no matter the shield type. Shotguns truly are broken now, and I expect this will be fixed very quickly.

I did some ROC Strikes last night using only invective. Was fun as hell. Shotguns went useless to bring the best guns to use.

Why would bungie go back on a patch that gives the game more diversity?

I doubt they will nerf them, their high risk high reward weapons, they are the only gun that requires you to get close to enemies, which can easily 2 hit you themselves, or bosses/lightswitch one hit you. I think they got it just right, before they didn't outdamage anything. Now they are worth getting up close and personal

Over powered is fun. Shotguns are high risk high reward as they stand right now lol. You're doing a lot of damage but you are taking a lot too I do the same thing. Usually on my titan I'll run universal remote and secret handshake and try to do strikes just using shotguns. Usually I run blessing or weapons of light. Just to give me some cover.

Why do you think I'm glad I got that bounty again after I forgot to upgrade my last invective? I love that shotgun and I always have.

Edited by Kil (Inept): 3/1/2015 4:55:08 PMYeah they rock now. Had the Centurion public event in the first zone in Mars. Always struggled to solo him before because his shields come back up almost instantly. Invective tore him a new one. :D Not even fully upgraded yet either.
