Fate Of All Fools
Why did this kid get it? He wanted to cheat the game and in return he got scammed like most people who try to cheat the game. The only person that should have the FoAF is the guy who had that cool recovery story about his brain surgery.

2 RepliesPeople please, before you all make an idiot out of yourselves (woops too late), find some actual proof first that the kid got a gift from bungie. The kid thought bungie gave him Word of Crota, because it was at the postmaster. However, he had just raided, its much more likely his inventory was just full. Story goes the kid got a gun. People forgot what he got. People remember a story about some guy getting Fate of all Fools, what a fitting name! That must be it! > urban legend born.

Even if he was going to glitch the rest, the guy went over board by deleting the characters and even the plan c on his hunter. One exotic (originally one of a kind) vs all the time he spent getting other exotics and leveling his characters. Raid time gone too? It's the least bungie could do if they really gave it to him. Wouldn't see me deleting my characters for the fate of all fools.

Because that's the same logic as a man being scammed of all his money and the Government stepping in and stop him from commiting suicide, go homeless or worse. Bungie just gave him some comfort for his loss. So if you want something from Bungie just get a friend to delete yor stuff via stream.
